AnonD-731363, 14 Sep 2022Viber and messenger have this for a very long time. Samsung... moreLOL you don't get it.
Android camera API - photos look bland and low quality. With HQ stickers etc, images will look tacky.
Samsung native camera computational API - photos look edited, lens distortion corrected, "instagram ready". when stickers and other stuff are overlaid, the image quality is much better.

On Android, if you use anything other than the stock photography app, your photos will suck unless you spend enough time to edit every single photo. On iPhone, any 3rd party app will give similar quality (or better) when compared to the stock app.

Apple iPhones work better with 3rd party apps because their computational layer is part of the camera API. There are too many Android variants and manufacturers, that the default Android API just takes an image from the hardware without the computational photography worked in.

This article is probably to tell other software developers that they can tap into Samsung's camera API and use it to get better photos, because lots of people would use it when Samsung gives it a push.

Viber and messenger have this for a very long time. Samsung just copied something that was well working on messenger and viber long time ago.

Even though I'm using a Galaxy S phone, I've never used snapchat. I don't even know what it does 🤣

if it lags and freezes in M and F series then fun mode turned into boring mode
