yes., 03 Aug 2008As a professional within software and actually worked with ... moreThe interface of SE phone's has not changed much over the last few years, it's just been improved to accommodate new features and, in my opinion, even though it is not very sophisticated it is very intuitive.
I have tried HTC and seriously, the touchflo is an elegant interface but becomes tiring after awhile and it is too short of hiding the default Windows interface which makes it a mixed bag -- cannot say much about the iphone but it is for sure not for everyone. About Samsung, I think they are still playing catch up and their phones seem to me the dummiest and most uninteresting of all.
In regards to the P1, I also have one and do find it very functional in almost every aspect with the combined touch and querty keyboard.
Anyway, the G705 seems nice feature-wise but comes a bit too short to replace my now year-old P1.

SE in the past: fewer handset with complete features, innovation & with reasonable price like T68i, T610, K750, W810, W900.
SE in present: more handset with ugly design & less features.
Just bring to the past policy and net income will be positive again.

Any manufacturer launching high-level sophisticated devices in the current economic climate is making a bold choice to attempt to shape the future of the market. For the immediate term price will be the key factor in determining the success of this device. However, looking onwards towards 2009 and beyond, it would be a shame for consumers and future innovation if manufacturers place cost cutting ahead of offering the best technology for a keen global market. Next generation devices must take technological convergence to the next level in the provision of devices equipped with total global connectivity, seamless data exchange transfers, and virtual interaction with global information networks.

As a professional within software and actually worked with HCR and interactional design; the interface of sony ericssons standard phones has been very poor last 2 years. Their smartphone (I own a p1i) is even more bad. The ONLY good thing I found in the SE smartphone is the week part of the calendar.
No, SE interface is not good, it's bad. So is the windows mobile and I don't expect X1 to be a good phone.
Comparing the Interface between Samsung Omnia and HTC touch diamond, Omnia wins no doubt.
Comparing HTC touch diamond with SE Smarthpones like P1i, I feel that HTC passed SE.
Overall I think TouchWiz is going to be the best Phone Interface one day, but they are not there yet.
And Apple (should be mentioned) design is the best in my oppinion, that's why are popular while their spec is not as good as the top phones.

Just seen on www.mobile-review.com that Sony Ericssons sales are down by 47% an this just shows how they have really been letting it customers down with Quality an Relibility,There cameras used to be the Best on Mobiles but now theres no Auto-Focus on them an now no sign of improvement in there Designs looks as though someone as got to invest money into Ericsson or Sony will be closing the mobile Unit Down Soon

Jono, 01 Aug 2008Another 'boring' style from SE, actually i love se but se l... moreHow does this look like every other handset? You are a joke, go and have a look at the Nokia/LG page if you want to see a similarity in phones!!. As the next comment says, business ppl want EASY FUNCTIONALITY, which the P1i IS and every other SE business phone. Love the Business Card Scanner!!

hiii freinds!!
it is very easy to point out others difficiencies but what about our own power of doing a work for which we blame others.
COME ON friends! why you blame SE for their design? its not only the design but the engineers also look for the ergonomics and "portable" nature of the mobile when designing.
don't blame them for this design. don't pass a comment when u don't have full knowledge about designing.
and really the camera sucks but keep in mind this phone is for business people.
and also, please these high end phones are for high-class people so don't comment about a thing which u can't access.
Also, here i admit that nokia is the leading mobile company but not in the high-end mobile market but for their low-end phones e.g. 1650 etc
(i love SE for their user freindliness interfaces.)

no good, the Gseries is really impressive like the G700 and G900, but recently they are making these weird headsets for the Gseries and with the BeiBei getting canceled along with the P5i and Xperia being outdated and forgotten....what is happening SE??? please don make same phones....the C905 is really cool thats a step on the right direction....this is not good...no need for anyone to buy this
