It would be great if all the people on this forum that dislike Apple iPhones realized that Apple doesn't care about them. Neither do the people that buy iPhones. Tech enthusiasts form a very very small percentage of the population that actually buy phones.

Battery percentage? ON THE SCREEN? 😮 Incredible!!! Another groundbreaking „innovation“ from the fruit logo company! Surely people from all over the world will now flock to the stores to witness the magic first hand!

Jeez so people still think iphones are for older demographic…

Maybe in the US but in my country older people tend to go cheapo android, because they often find €200 plenty for a phone, so they get that.

iPhones in my country are mostly owned by 20+ to 40 ish old people, but 10 years ago mostly young and older people had one, back when prices for high end phones were much lower.

Nowdays not so much, especially since my gov came with a rule where phones above €250 in a sub plan are considered a loan, which has it’s cons as it gets officially noted as debt.

LoneOwl, 16 Sep 2022Xiaomi says otherwise.... https://trust.mi.com/misrc/upd... moreCool page, though it doesn't list policies of all Xiaomi models which is a bummer. Some super weird listings on it tho. Like Redmi 10 that my relative recently got. Not only I'm not sure if it's 2021 or 2022 model, even if it's 2021, a phone being released last year with Android 11 is just weird. And then being promised to get Android 12 and Android 13, considering Android 13 is already out and it hasn't even received Android 12 yet? See why I say Android phone's software support is an absolute trainwreck? And people always say "but it's a 200€ phone". How do they justify 90 days update release policy for Xiaomi 12 which is their flagship mainline product? 90 days between secruiyt updates, that's 3 months. Oh, there was a huge security issue, but don't worry, it'll be fixed in... 3 months...

-Trix-, 16 Sep 2022Very good comment Real work happens with iPhone and Andr... moreReal work is done on both phones, or can be depending on the person. Some people are just incapable of utilizing their phone to a great extent (this applies to both iOS and Android, although tends to lean to iPhone users becuase the demographic is older users). But the fact of the matter is most people with iPhones aren't doing much on their phone. They're just on web, Insta, iMessage their friends and maybe read their junk email. They don't need a $1k phone to do this but they also don't know that either. They just buy iPhone because they are used to doing so.

Just install AccuBattery and you’ll know. Also just seen Xperia users tricked into believing their phone has fixed 4K resolution when it runs 1080p most of the time unless you’re viewing HDR content. Many Android fanboys think SD865 is the best chipset, efficient as it may be but games look so pixelated in every phone compared to SD888 and later

Still, pretty bad for mainline model. I don't hate MIUI as such, I just hate it how they often hide what Android version is actually being used as foundation by smearing MIUI version up in the front. It's weird to get MIUI updates, but Xiaomi can't be bothered to update Android underneath even though they are releasing same up to date combos on other devices, further creating unnecessary fragmentation.
