Errrr why it bothers you for apple is normal to release unfinnished products and use its customers as a test subjects.

No wonder, spotify is super slow to fix their software, and they always do the bare minimum too.

English is my main language and even I understand why that person commented the way they did, your previous comment was a little to vague for non native speakers.

I said "IF," because someone here had said that amazon is affected, too. I actually typed that "IF" in block letters, yet it flew over your head. IF is conditional.

Instead of crying profusely, you could have simply said that ONLY Spotify is affected. But far be it from me to tell a crybaby not to be himself.

Cyberchum, 17 Sep 2022The major streaming apps all seem to have individual issues... moreI just went and asked a group of people i know with iOS and Android phones

All streaming services work NOW on iOS 16 and Android 12/13 without ANY issues.

And on smartwatches, both WearOS 3 and WatchOS9 only Spotify has issues.

So where the heck do you come with "issues" if the only one is being Spotify and only on smartwatch operating systems.

I have Spotify on both my iPhone 13 Pro and my Galaxy Flip 3, works fine on both, doesn't work (crashes) if I try to directly play on my Apple Watch, but not if I stream to it via my phone.

Youtube music works on all 3 without issues (I have YT music because of my Premium sub)

So what the heck are your talking about aside from spreading misinformation?

Jeez people on this site are sinking lower and lower just because of some silly hate... live and let live.

IF multiple apps with same purpose are having issues after the update, it's most likely Apple's fault. It's a no-brainer.

Don't get me started about how many times people blamed Microsoft because others like Google, Nvidia, Adobe and so on didn't test their software.

If Apple really had this "masterplan" to not allow other music apps "by accident", then Spotify would not be the only broken WatchOS app, and all the apps including Spotify would stop working on iOS.

You look for a reason to blame Apple, but that is unfair just like blaming Microsoft would be for mistakes OTHERS make.

Also it would be plain stupid if Apple did what you claim, because here is a newsflash of the day, they earn money from those other services being available on their devices too.

Amazon Music, Spotify, and some smaller music apps not streaming correctly.

Apple Music is the big competitor, and Apple owns their own ecosystem, so yes I'm sure this was "accidental".

Apple will not fix the bug until they know how many customers they can force to try Apple Music and stay there.

I had zero issues on WatchOS9 with Spotify but I now know why.

Because I play the music om my phone and my Watch shows the controls only, just tried the app and yup it has issues.

They had so many months to fix this because all the beta’s but it seems they did not, but I shouldn’t expect much from a company that still didn’t fix their broken WearOS 3 app (my partner stopped using Spotify on GW4 because of that, is using the phone instead for it)

Another case of developer not working.

Hey spotify! You have so much time to test the beta RC out.. now you say cannot when the public release came out.

If you drop this warning before the public release, people can prepare. Instead you blame Apple the moment it launches.

meanwhile on GW4/Wear OS the spotify app is trash, refuses to play songs from the loud speaker, the rotating bezel that's meant to control volume constantly stops working at random along with half a dozen other bugs.
