For me HTC ONE X had the best screen - just beautiful - colours like LCD blacks like amoled just perfection.

Then when SgS 3 came out everyone was expecting kraut and they just got A9.. Good but not as good as promises. Then on top of that, sgs3 came out with ugly pen tile matrix screen. For me this was a big let down. Hopefully they learn- they don't have nice UI but they have nice specs- so make nice specs for big $$ charges that they have.

I don't mind the antutu score for SgS IV but did you see the htc one score!! Wow. And it's a much nicer score!!
Samsung has become the new Apple type hipster phone.. Expensive but no innovation. Htc has an IR receiver you can use it as a remote for your TV which is just awesome. Aluminium body.. Sorry experia or htc one for me this year.. Or padfone 3 !!!.

Also, there are unconfirmed reports the Galaxy S IV will likely use the Sony Exmor RS sensor, which is what Sony uses for its top-of-the-line smartphones. If this report were true, HDR imaging and recording will be possible and better quality on images taken in low light.

I was thinking the contrary with me disliking Sony sensors found in most of phones this generation : pictures are too grainy for my taste, especially when there's no direct sunlight helping.
It's not about 1 phone in particular, i have been able to verify this on a Xperia Ray, Xperia T(13MP) and S3.

But i think, it doesn't work like that in many cases. Specially when a product is close to release, you can't decide to just add a component or change totally design with a bigger screen, there are millions of phones which need to be produce for the next week (for April there).
On the contrary, Apple is watching its opponents, they have time with their delayed releases (mid year and end of year refresh), see how they decided to raise camera output, screen size, cpu? They said many time, their design was perfect, no need for bigger screen, and back in the past they didn't see any point having a good camera sensor on a phone.. See now, they use all the same hardware as other phones.
I know that Samsung when beta testing its phones, is using several different possible models (like different cpu/ram/screens combination) so depending on results (quality, reliability, appealing, bugs etc... who knows here), market trend and then maybe opponents, they choose. That's thinking out of the box.
But opponents theory is very unlikely, just check on the web for chinese phone manufacturers, they are all releasing smartphones with the specs we all wish for currently so that's why i think you are wrong : metallic /custom plastic case, form factor, screen size, HD/FHD resolutions, ram, quad core, SD slot etc.. All flavors. And they are quite nice. Chinese manufacturer Oppo with their Find 5, launched 1st salvo and it's already 3 months late compared to when i wanted to preorder it.

I wasn't expecting to buy a S4 this year (i already bought the 3 others), but that's a major turning down for me if true.

there was no leak for S3 too last year. T... moreNot dreaming sir, speculating. I remember the time they released sgsII. It wasn't the first 2core, but it was beefier in specs than the 1st 2core when they released it. With sgsIII, it was supposed to not have a card slot, but hTc released the One X first, so they added the card slot, not to mention making the screen size diagonal 0.1 mm bigger. It could be that they are very keen on not allowing leaks so that they can freely alter or revise their devices' (flagships) specs based on what their [competitors'] confirmed flagships' specs.
Again, this is just my speculation. Its good for them. To me, it's plain ugly. :\

The samsung galaxy s4 is going to be a amazing and powerful phone bcoz it is going to succeed the samsung galaxy s3 which is a powerful phone already and the have been big release from Sony and htc so the samsung gs4 has to be much better to compete with xperia z and htc one

I think Sony needs to roll out Jelly Bean 4.2 asap as they have promised because there does seem to be camera issues which are probably software based. Samsung have some strong competition this year, which they didn't have at all last year. The first thing I always do with Samsung Phones, is drop the awful touchwiz interface and stick on a stock launcher. Sammy software and bloat ware is always a memory hog, as is HTC Sense...Xperia Z software looks ok from what I've seen but I will stick GoLauncher EX on there afterwards if I go with that...For tjhis reason I'm very tempted to go with a Google phone next...The X Phone isgonna be special...

As I sit looking at my S3, complete with paint scratched off around the sides, I wish for that too. I'm playing the waiting game, but unless the S4 blows everything away, I'm gonna opt for either Sony Xperia Z or Google/Moto X Phone...I think the X Phone is gonna be a game-changer when it's released in July..
