With it's size, Sony should listen this time, put a >3000mah battery removable, this will be the selling point for SP, beating other manufacturers who would always think that thinness is better than having a huge battery. Users will be very satisfied. Quad core is not necessary but a dual core phone that will last 2-3 days with heavy usage is best. Hope it will have very high battery endurance rating >72hrs wit 24hrs talk time, >10hrs web browsing, >10hrs video playback.

if sony put a decent cam, good audio quality, and then price it like a mid-range mobile this device can top it's segment! dual-core would perform like the quadro one knowing that they share the same GPU and that android doesn't utelise quadros fully yet. also HD for me is more than anough on less than 10"! also battery life should be fine knowing that dual cores are are't heavy machinery anymore!

lacp, 22 Feb 2013You don't remember, what a pity! The envy persons like you,... moreEnvy? I have a note 2 and there sure is no reason to be ency about it, its a big piece of junk display on one side adn big piece of plastic on the other. The thing is full of useless features and has a heavy bad UI.
I already ordered Xperia Z, save your envy till i receive it.

You don't remember, what a pity! The envy persons like you, are like that. You don't forget that the android phones of the other brands don´t have the software and hardware features that the Samsung smartphones have. Cheap plastic, say you? It's better to be in plastic because it's more durable than other materials that scratch easily. Plastic like the Samsung phones use it's very durable.

Reese, 22 Feb 2013I haven't seen a correlation between thickness and battery ... moreWell you have a point there.. but since S3 is big at 4.8 in. , the battery will also become big thus, reducing the thickness.
i dont know if you've heared about cloudfone thrill 430x.. (screen size i think is 4.0 or less..cant remember though). with its whopping 4160mAh battery, you cant expect the phone to have a thinner battery since the phone is not as big as S3 or any other smartphones available, there's no other way but to make it thick..

A few grams getting added to a phone wont be a issue!
But if its gonna be a good mid ranged phone (rather than those lyk some cheap plastic making company.. I dnt even remember its name) then come-on.. Count me in...

Reese, 22 Feb 2013I've seen some reports of a 2100mAh battery. If thats true,... moreConsider that it has a dual core processor, wich obviously consumes less battery than a quad core.

Poop, 22 Feb 2013People... you hate thick and heavy phones? yet you complain... moreI haven't seen a correlation between thickness and battery life. It makes since that there should be, but I have yet to see it. The Galaxy S3, S2, Droid Razr Maxx, HTC Desire X, etc all have great battery life but aren't thick at all. And the Xperia Arco and Ion are thick phones with below average battery life. You can have a giant battery and a thin phone at the same time, its just spread out differently across the device.

Weight is and always has been a non-issue unless you have issues benchpressing the bar - with no weights on it.

People... you hate thick and heavy phones? yet you complain about the battery life. Expect thin phones to have a shorter battery life.
Now for those who needs more battery, then you have to go with a thicker phone as more battery life means a bigger battery!
Stop complaining!

Anonymous, 22 Feb 2013too heavy for its category... poor battery... LG IS ... moreI've seen some reports of a 2100mAh battery. If thats true, the SP won't be shattering any battery life records. But performance should be acceptable.

The SP is pretty heavy. I hope that's a sign of there being a massive battery inside!
