Nokia to premiere an affordable Lumia at the MWC?

22 February, 2013
Most probably it would be the Lumia 520, a successor to the WP7.8-running Lumia 510.

Despite of wp8 efficiency on chips, i think Nokia would be a top dog again in a short time (and give a big edge to WP too) if they released a phone with killer specs similar to the latest androids, and a bezel-less thin metallic unibody, high res display, big battery, and the usual Nokia things like drive, camera, etc.
People don't care more on performance than on specs in figures, why not to give them? And making a 'have it all' phone is becoming more and more possible. Most of the sales are mid/low rangers, but the flagship is what attracts the eyes and makes the image.

Its a shame, i use to associate Nokia with quality and highend phones but it seems they are going the other direction (lowend). Was hoping they would make a upgrade to their 920 with better hardware and slimmer design.

Stop the android BS. Nokia goes with WP and that's final. But in order for Nokia to gain sells, they've got to allow peoples to able to buy their phones directly from their website. Of maybe at least has shop in Amazon to sell their phones. All the lumia phones that they got right now are pair with Carrie and that's sucks. If the 620 is really that much of affordable phone as GSMA said here, I would love to buy one. But since buying stuff online worry me sometimes, I can't trust the others from Amazon when their not under Amazon or Nokia's name.

When we know dual krait is minimum requirement for the resource hungry WP8, you want a dual krait to cost PKR 10k, which is $100? Ok, maybe PKR 15k will be close but surely not enough. This is not a china brand with mediatek chipset you know. Nokia fanboys are supposed to buy Asha if they cant afford Lumia.

If Nokia wants to be back in business again, they should bring back the same strategy they used a decade ago.. affordable and durable phone wherein you will be proud to challenge other handset brand in drop test.

If Nokia has alternative such as Android.. or if they cant, then bring back the good old symbian OS. This will bring them back at the top.

                                GSM Arena,

the review you are referring to, still lacks the promised battery test. The battery test would decide if the Lumia 620 is a good deal or not.

Secondly, the internet benchmarks won't appear in any of my browsers.

Please get your work on the Lumia 620 done before you refer to a non complete review again!
