Not really, i saw selfie from S2 yesterday and it looked just like photo should look, very natural and balanced. It wasn't as sharp, but overall the photo had lot better quality.

    Anonymous, 22 Sep 2022That's still a lot better than what an S2 can do with ... moreNot really, i saw S2 selfie yesterday, but couldn't find it anymore. Selfies weren't thing back then that much so they are hard to find, but the quality overall were better, the photo just looks natural like it should, unlike that Axon photo, which in so many levels look very weird and unnatural.

                I didn't know you could be so profoundly tech illiterate as to call a 2 MP cam on a 12 year old phone better than the under display cams available today. Sure the quality isn't on par with others but it's definitely not worse than what your claim it is. Just go to ZTE axon 40 ultra review and look at the selfies. And then you can come back to say again that the s2 had a better front cam

                  But how many years that will take? Especially when front cams getting better and better so i’m not sure about what you say. It might happen or maybe it’s not just possible time will tell. So far the quality is behind like 12 years. Galaxy S2 came 11 years ago and it has better front cam.

They have t... moreYeah the problem with both of them (I mean, Nubia is under ZTE anyway) is that despite being sold in North America, they don't update the networks as such. All their phones are still missing Verizon's band 13, AT&T's 14, 29, and 30, and T-Mobile's band 71 along with all but T-Mobile 's 5G band 41.

                    I wouldn't have minded a Red Magic phone considering the price and how great it handles heat but the reception would not be up to par compared to Samsung, Google, and even Sony.

The biometrics being under the display too, also other sensors etc, android phones will far surpass iPhones in terms of design in a few years. The iPhone has a lot catching up to do because phones will eventually be without anything on display. Also it doesn't look like apple can make that happen on their phones until maybe 2050 or something

They have the Axon 40 Ultra and Pro for sale on their website, but they don't sell the Chinese-exclusive ones like Nubias. There is also a North American website for Redmagic gaming phones, but I don't know if the American models were specced to work with US bandwidths.

                                Are ZTE phones available in the US? I would get a phone with an under display camera in a heartbeat. I rarely take selfies and would much prefer an uninterrupted screen

                                  Lets hope there is some improvement.
                                  Kudos to ZTE for trying.

                                      That's how a phone display should be like, and not any cut or holes or dynamic imperfections etc

                                        There are several bank apps requiring users to scan their faces while logging/setting up new cards in China. Hope that UD cameras would provide clear video captures.
