There's no privacy in this world if you want privacy then stop using smart devices because all the companies are the same
At least you know Google is using it what about those that behave like privacy God but they use your data for ads
Apple, Samsung all them

Time to stop using Fitbit if you care about your privacy. Especially for women using Fitbit app's built-in menstruation calendar.

      "industry-leading account security"
It's like Fitbit is saying "we are aware we didn't offer the best security possible".. wtf with their statement!?

FatShady, 23 Sep 2022'won't use the data for ads'... *wink, wink*They will just sell them (To insurer? 😎), not use them 😂

It's not about the ads. It's about your permanent health status. And I mean "tea" status, not really health.

Already said, but it was a matter of time. They did it to wear os a few years ago. For now, i can go with no account on the phone, I just add it Sunday mornings to run updates and Friday before starting the weekend. Enough 3rd party apps to do everything even access mail and calendards of multiple accounts etc. Fun for me, but definitely not ready for prime time. Like everyone, i've stopped trying to understand and know that there's always someone waiting in the wings to take the spot if they drop wear os or devs and watch makers give up.

This needs to be torn up by EU. "We will not use it for ADs", is such a deliberately vague non-commitment that it doesn't say anything about why you have to move your private health data onto Google's people profiler data centres.

Surprised it took them so long, because this was a matter of time.

Not that it is a good thing mind you.
