Its common knowledge that opposition to tws culture is a general and not brand specific thing. If we came across similar article about oneminus or scamsung etc this comment would be made.
Anyway, one cannot deny apple is special in this regard for starting off these evil, anti-consumerist trend. But the initiator and follower are equally guilty in my opinion.
Anyway, I can also ask why are you so triggered over a generalized comment in apple or even samsung, but not elsewhere, if you claim to be so fair?

The only lifeline for jack is audiophile / music producers.. who wants as close to the music as possible. However they have dedicated mp3 players, and hardwares for it.
But as bluetooth catches up, the quality barely compare to the benefits of TWS.
You can wear TWS in car / bike / running / outdoors / indoors everywhere. Do that with wires.. you lack safely (no transparency mode).. and you risk tangling yourself.
A phone is not just about a MP3 player. It's much more. Thus GIVE way Jack.. get rid of that useless legacy port. Make way for the future!

Used to go through 10 or more wired headphones a year with my old phone. Never looking back and either are 99% of users.

If they provide a powerful ja... moreStop deceiving, the sound out of a phone's normal, "underpowered" 3.5mm jack gets fairly loud and is good enough for everyone except for "sorry about your wallet" crowd. Decent IEMs and even many over ear headphones with low impedance sounds quite loud and good as well, and whatever the case is, it's always better than Bluetooth. Sure it's not gonna drive well high impedance headphone and ones need more power, but if you're into those, it's unlikely you aren't using dedicated audio player with expensive amp/DAC setup.
ANC and wireless: Why on earth would you need that at home? When home, want 3.5mm jack to be able to get sound at the blink of an eye, without having to worry about battery life, bluetooth pairing and inferior audio? USB C port? We don't want to overuse usb C port and want to keep it free in case charging is needed. ANC has its place which is outdoors and wireless more suitable there I agree, but wireless and ANC is useless indoors no doubt. By the way, you can use ANC when wired at 3.5mm jack, ever heard of Bose QC35? It'll just get power off the same battery as wireless but use less power actually. So what's the problem then, what advantage is there in wireless other than convenience of not having cable outdoors?
Voice to voice translation: why on earth is such specialised product needed at home? Who other than doing some specific job need that? Even that, in theory should work wired with a battery, and wireless with just cause more battery drain.
In the end, 3.5mm jack is worth more than you. Lol

Worthless Jack in Phones.
1. If they provide a powerful jack.. then the battery of the phone will suffer.
2. If they do not provide a powerful jack.. sound that comes out of wired earphones is bad.
3. Jack does not provide enough bandwidth to perform ANC or voice to voice translation, which means if it needs ANC or so.. it need another power source..
So what are the 2 remaining solution?
1. USB C
2. TWS
USB C is an attractive solution..
1. Can provide more power to the earphones.
2. Can provide enough data to support the new tech features. like ANC, transparency or realtime voice translation thru one cable.
3. Can do so, so long as the phone battery allows.. or so long as your usb -c port is not broken.
4. Can't charge unless you have dongle... or 2 ports.
TWS.
1. Same as USB-C solution.. but with the drawback of having its own battery source.
In other words TWS's benefits are:
1. Switch automatically between devices without you doing anything. (no need to plug here plug there)
2. Gain all the benefits of said new techs.. like ANC / voice translation .. heart rate monitor..
3. Your phone still can be charged.
4. No tangles.
In a way, TWS is the best balanced solution of them all. There is still of course, the solution of dongle if the wired lovers wants it... but they trade that without ANC, no tech.. just mp3 player.

And I'm actually surprised to know these tws actually get firmware upgrades because I'm proud to have never owned a smartphone without headphone jack. I also don't think any reasonably priced wireless headphones get firmware upgrades, only expensive ones and ones from smartphone OEMs do. These OEMs try so hard to make their dumb consumers believe they're being cared for, lol absolute fool! Hey fools, have you any wool, you're sheeple after all. The word sheeple rhymes with apple, not much of a coincidence after all.
Hahaha...
Thankfully I'm out of this gimmicky madness. As always: No headphone jack no buy.
