I think its a bad idea.
Advertisers will use it ruthlessly, not to mention that immediately clicking such a link, and disconnecting a call doesn't help you in any way, your number has reached the other party already.
It will only add to SPAM and number sharing among unknown people. Plus, it will increase sextortion cases like someone already said.
Rural, uneducated people and uninformed youth in my country are likely to be most affected as they stand more vulnerable. Changes are happening at speed of light but they're not able to keep up.

Call link sounds like a dogs collar. Moreover very doubtful it is fully encrypted as this comes from a company that is anti privacy and where people are the product.

Three way calling has been a thing for a long time on a lot of platforms. The link has to be shared and everyone will know who's involved in the conversation as it will doubtless be encrypted in some way. I think you're being a bit paranoid. This is an innovation of the current Whatsapp platform and can't see how it could possibly be a negative development.

this reminds me of facetime link which you can send to anyone to start a call but of course only apple device can make a link
