Anonymous, 28 Sep 2022Samsung giving mediocre chipsets on 5G models as always. ... moreKompanio 1300T isn't exactly a rehashed Dimensity 1100...
        - GPU's frequency is more close to Dimensity 1200's
        - 1300T supports screen up to QHD, both Dimensity 1100 and 1200 are limited to FullHD+
        - 1300T supports external screen (at least one), Dimensity 1100 and 1200 don't!
        An awesome chipset...

Don't see any difference between my Nord 2's Dimensity 1200 and my Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2's Kompanio 1300T

You like streaming? You've better go for S8 FE.

Thanks to Qualcomm and Apple, the last companies to sell obsolete decoders on their high end products!

Pure junk. Why would anyone buy this over a Tab S7 or an iPad? On phones you can kind of get by with lower end CPUs and RAM, but tablets need the performance. The sole reason behind a larger canvas is that you can run multiple apps or use procutivity software all of which require better CPU and more RAM. Apple figured that out long time ago. But I guess Samsung likes to sell shitty tablets.

So they're now putting worse chip than before, and no headphone jack and microSD card as usual. How could one even touch this filth?

Benny00, 28 Sep 20224GB of RAM is complete and utter garbage on an Android tabl... moreYes I think it’s silly why the top end model of the S7 FE maxes out at just 6GB RAM. The screen is subpar (TFT panel). Only good thing about it are the build quality and included S Pen. Otherwise iPad is superior in almost every aspect

Tab S7 to Tab S8 is 1.5yrs apart.
I guess it is the same with the Tab S8 FE. 1.5yrs apart from S7 FE

So if Tab S7 FE is released in may 2021, then Tab S8 FE will probably around Novemeber 2022

                    S22 FE when?

Surely this can't be a "fan edition"...

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2022Samsung giving mediocre chipsets on 5G models as always. ... moreYou wont get all features in budget or midrange tablets, if you need all around features you need atleast Tab s7.

Probably 5G is licenced differently in Tablets or there is something else we dont know, but even Budget oriented Oem like realme their 5G tablet with soc like sd 695 cost over $300.

So to keep price down they use less powerfull soc. Sd 778G tab s7 FE wifi is cheaper than sd 750G with 5G.

I think Surface is the best tablet. Others may disagree.

4GB of RAM is complete and utter garbage on an Android tablet.

I got an S7 FE and... yeaaah, I guess it gets the job done but you can't really call it a pleasure to use. What's the point of making it a 12.4" tablet if you can't even open two apps without one crashing. If the base Tab S8 is 11" then the budget option should also be 11", if not less. If they're gonna cut down costs, then it shouldn't be from core specs that influence pretty much anyone, like RAM and CPU. Hopefully this year they won't stick a WORSE chip on the more expensive cellular models. Oh, and the Galaxy Tab lineup seriously needs a "mini" offering too, maybe the FE version could be that.

Guessing the Wi-Fi model uses the Kompanio 1300T which is a rehashed Dimensity 1100 while the 5G model uses the Kompanio 900 which is a rehased Dimensity 900

knowing the average price samsung will release for this. trash chipset

200$ tablet? Hmm. Those specs actually reminds me of the free tablets we can get from phone companies by moving our number to them here. Very low end.
