I think the trend of making gadget from plastic become
standard trend nowsday but let see what kind plastic.
As we all know GALAXY S3 look is "unaceptable" from luxury point of view.

The most important thing is that the Samsung galaxy s4 must be the most outstanding smartphone ever made!!!!!!!!!!!.and in all aspects (hardware and software! ), and without any limitation!!!!!!!!!!.We are all just waiting for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Come on Samsung do even more than your best!, and produce the greatest smartphone ever!!!, and in all aspects! !!!!!!!!!!!

Just because something is made out of plastic does not mean it is crap. It is just like saying that the cars of today are rubbish because of their aluminium bodies compared to the cars that use carbon fibre or steel.

SGS4 will be a disappointment to solid Samsung mobile users like If it comes out with PLASTIC body.
I wanted a solid and premium feel of my future smartphone as my new standard.
Hope not I curse Samsung for their stupidity in releasing fragile polycarbonate plastic phone.

AnonD-55345, 26 Feb 2013Well my friend I got SGS3 for around 4 months old now. But... moreDepends on how its drop and your luck.. but generally samsung s3 suffer a worse drop and impact due to 3 issues.
1. removable battery, this cause the entire phone's weight to be generally non uniformed, thus causing it to rebound on hitting the ground several time maximising the damage.
2. plastic, much softer then most materials, so prompt to scratches and bumps on slight impact.
3. Curved surfaces with thin side, decrease the amount of surface area hitting any given time.. thus max the damage to that area.
One good solution is a build like note2 with increase strength for the sides to minimise damage but retain same look.

I accidentall... moreWell my friend I got SGS3 for around 4 months old now. But in less than 1 month it fell to the hard granite flooring without casing.
It just roll and bounced back but miraculously the screen never cracked but with scratches in the 4 sides and a punched in the aluminum frame on lower left corner.

Fanboys and haters both need to understand the concept of value for money. It is of course our money that goes into the pockets of apple, samsung, HTC or sony whoever it is. For me galaxy S3 is ok for now because I bought it at a much lower price as compared to the price at launch. Considering the price of S3 and other competitors as of now, I felt it is OK as it serves my purpose. The speed, overall functionality, camera quality, screen size and display quality, the removable battery, card slot are the features some have and some don't. Of course the software features are unique and they are not available at all in the competitor models. And finally the software update. Samsung is the only company which updates all the devices from low end to high end at least for 2 - 3 years whereas the competitors do not bother to do so. Tomorrow if the S4 does not have standalone features it is not going to impress me as I need to get something outstanding for the amount I am paying. So finally it is your money and buy the device which you feel gives you the most considering all the factors.

>there must be 1.5 GB of RAM
>powered by snapdragon s4 pro
>with rear camera fo 8MP capable of 1080p at 3o fps
>2MP front with hd recording
>8 GB of internal memory with micro sd card support
>and without LTE
>at last battery of about 2100mah or above

It seems like Samsung fanboys are saying about the great marketing of Samsung which is why the plastic phones sell so well. Isn't that what you used to hate about apple ? I loved my note but not the materials, paying a premium for phones when they use crappy materials to make their profit margin EVEN bigger is a bit of a shame. We will see, they might have listened this time and made it durable.

[deleted post]While going through the comments of haters it is evident how much insecure they are feeling about the release of the next flagship from Samsung. It is nothing but the jealousy in their mind which makes them hate like this as their phones lack the breakthrough features of phones like S3. It is obvious none of these haters own a phone like S3 or flagships from other makers. They must be owning some old crappy phones from mid range or low range models. That is the reason they are venting out against the breakthrough products released by Samsung. Haters, please hate samsung as it is not going to do any harm to real users like us. Of course Samsung sales volumes are so high that HTC, Sony, LG and motorola all put together don't even reach half its sales.
