But more on Intel since everything depends on the price if they dont want to flop.

    Well. It's intel.
First someone needs to verify their claims.
Then we need to see if the drivers are shitty as usual.
This might be their entry into dGPU space, but they have had iGPUs since forever and their drivers have been a nightmare.
And they're only claiming to be better with ray tracing, and not talking about amd or old gtx gpus.
So I am not entirely sure what to expect other than to wait and see.

this is gd Nvidia and Amd pricing are so shirt now intel can kinda change that

It doesn't matter because I am using legendary gt710 which will run eternity.

Kangal, 01 Oct 2022There's the AMD RX 6400, but it has a very limited bus... moreProblem with PCIe connectors being designed as 8x electrically means the older version of PCIe you have on motherboard, the worse it performs. On PCIe 4.0, it's 8x. On PCIe 3.0 it's essentially as fast as 4x. On PCIe 2.0 it would be just 2x, because of bandwidth you lose per PCIe lane. This just gets even worse when graphic card has less memory, because it has to store things in system memory and it has even more traffic done through PCIe slot.

kek, 01 Oct 2022Knowing Intel, I wouldnt worry too much about the driver pa... moreThere's the AMD RX 6400, but it has a very limited bus, and practically requires a Pcie 5 connection. Which means it will only work on these latest systems, making the product basically useless, you're better off relying on the integrated graphics like that of the r7-6800u. Even so, the performance you get isn't that much beyond the GTX 1650-LP.

Then there's the RTX A2000, the fastest option here. It is basically a RTX-3050 that's been cut down for 75W TDP and in a Low-Profile format. Everything sounds good, until you realise it's a Quadro card and the price is insane at above USD $500 MSRP.

Back when this 75W Low-Profile market was healthy, you could easily drop them into a cheap office pc (eg Dell OptiPlex SFF), and get something compelling. They're dirt cheap too. This was the known-secret within gamers from the era roughly between the Nintendo WiiU (2010) all the way to (2020) the Xbox One X. I don't think we will get anything here, unless it's from Imagination Technologies new dGPU or some other outsider coming to disrupt that market again. Intel surely won't.

            edit:
The best one I built was in 2014, I assembled it from several rubbish dump devices, and it came out slightly cheaper than the Xbox One. I called it the "Hell Box" a Dell Box 9010 OptiPlex SFF, plopped GTX 750Ti, Core i7-3770, 32GB RAM, 2TB HDD. I later upgraded it as the "Hell Box Pro" before the PS4 Pro came out; replaced GTX 1050Ti, replaced 1TB SSD, added 4TB HDD, removed Disc drive. Paired well with a Logitech K400 Wireless Keyboard, and the XB1S Bluetooth Gamepad. I gave that one away, now if I want another "console killer" I will probably build it using: 2TB nVme SSD, 32GB DDR5-6000, ASUS X670 Motherboard (AM5), r5-7600X CPU (to upgrade later), and likely an AMD RX7800 dGPU. All of that will be retrofitted inside an old VCR Machine to make one awesome Sleeper HTPC and deter thieves.

Dysfunctional graphics drivers is one of Intel's hallmark features.

I would like to see whats up with the A350, since it has been a while since a 75W GPU got released. GTX1650 wont last forever and Nvidia has forgotten to release a succesor for a while now...

the big wattage tdp is a no even with roughly same performance

Anonymous, 30 Sep 2022Loser Intel... This product weak...Because you would totally make a better product starting from scratch? The fact that Intel is a HUGE company with hundreds of millions ready to drop into R&D and this is their first attempt, shows how hard it is to enter graphic card market. CPU's are easy, they just need to have raw power to do compute fast. GPU's are much more finicky, hardware is just one part and there is a lot of trickery (and here I don't mean things like DLSS, FSR or XeSS) involved to get high performance out of it, talking about how rendering pipeline is optimized and how it handles rendering code on HW level. And then it's the other half which is software, specifically drivers. Sure Intel had integrated graphics for decades, but those were mostly optimized for office/desktop use and were tuned accordingly. Only few games were ever optimized with those in mind. They need to work on all that

this should have been AMD rx 480 moment in 2016... should have been $199 with some cross SLI program.

If they'll only price it accordingly then it'll have a chance for their firstime in the dedicated gpu market.

Also, Intel is not faking it, they are clearly admitting their GPUs performance.

Intel is not hiding that these are not "top dogs". If you're not playing "legacy" games from 5, 10 or more years ago, these are quite alright actually. At DX12 they are very competent.
