EU's common USB-C charger goal one step closer after crucial vote

USB-C will be the standard port required on all mobile phones, tablets and cameras sold in the EU from late 2024.

              Some ipads have usb C because they sell much less compared to iphone. And most popular ipads use lightning.

              With usb C, the revenue from sales of accessories will suffer big hit.

                Been using USB-C for years already as standard. At least since 2017 when I got the Note8. I'd never understand the stubbornness of Apple. But then again I don't use Apple products so whether they change or not, I don't necessarily care. It's good to finally make a standard. I always hated the proprietary ports back in the days from Nokia, Sony, Motorola, and so on. Then there even was a small pin and big pin Nokia charging port, all a bit confusing.

                            Well, we're screwed in 2023 too for iPhone 15 series.

                              so, this probably means apple is going to release another lightning iphone next year to profit even more for one more year, unlike how the rumors about a type c iphone in 2023...
