Samsung made an Exynos chip and it was a failure. Then it made Qualcomm 888 and 8 gen 1. which was also a failure due to excess heat and battery drain issues. Then Qualcomm gave the contract to TSMC.

They can change sea water into fresh water, but then, there will be price increase.

The names should be changed to names like Size 3, Size 2, Size 1.4, etc. I guess they don't sound cool, though.

They already got lots of money to build such facility & they can also make income from it by also using it for public use as tap water.

The smaller node require more water & electricity to build. Thus the increased price.
In the area near TSMC, water have been very sacred.

Actually, the name of some processors arise from their manufacturing size

I hear that China are making their new fab chips at 1-10 Angstoms. The world will have to shift to a new unit of measurement. Nm is now too large.

Electrons are smaller than atoms. It would appear that there's still space to go smaller but I think that electron behaviour gets tougher with lesser gains.
