What's even the point? With Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 production entirely on TSMC and (reportedly) no Exynos models for the S23 series, in 2023 Samsung's foundries will essentially only supply a handful of Samsung midrangers. Hardly exciting prospects.

      3nm, 2nm 1 nm???
      Whats next???
And how such a small chip will handle everything and heating issues???

TSMC 7nm is probably more efficient, lol

PMKLR3m, 04 Oct 2022They didn't master 5nm, but already moving to 1.4nm. ... moreThe nm doesn't mean anything anymore. Samsung had issues with 5nm and 4nm. But their 3nm GAA looks promising.

1.4nm from Samsung? Remembering Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 - thanks but no thanks...

They didn't master 5nm, but already moving to 1.4nm.

I dont bet on anything around 1-1.5nm until we get closer to 2nm timeframe

anyway 1.4nm though.. they tried to break moore's law

What is TSMC's roadmap for 1-2nm chips? 3nm TSMC chips are scheduled to be in early 2023 devices, maybe the SD 8 Gen 2 chips will using TSMC chips exclusively unlike the 8 Gen 1 and 8+ Gen 1 chips. Unless TSMC runs into some serious delays, they have almost 5 years to put out 1nm chips, beating Samsung again.
