Does Iphone need GMS? No, because Apple has their own ecosystem.

They have suffered for their own consequences, worse without Google and locked to 4g. Even if they allow bootloader to be unlocked again, it won't save them. Only very small percentage of people who loves tinkering will do that, the rest will rely on official support.

6.7" isn't an fe/lite/compact/mini model.! This is just a wish flagship. Flagship size, low end specs.

camera setup is a bit promising, punch hole display, has better full hd oled. this might be worth it compared to oddo reno 7 4g😂 which it has no ultrawide. only crappy 2mp sensors, only problem is there is no google service

And it comes without Google apps and without unlockable bootloader which could fix this and also EMUI. If they had unlockable bootloader I can see buying Huawei phone if it had good VFM, but compared to something like Pixel 6A (which I won't buy because its 5G doesn't work in Europe and it's too wide, big fail with 5G support), good luck offering good value.

I thought they have put more time and money onto R&D for new ecosystem, but looks like they are still a parasite of android but without GMS.
