Anonymous, 07 Oct 2022Advertised 30W charging reaches 21 on 7 amd 23 on 7 pro. 🤦🏻‍♂️companies advertise the peak power consumption of their devices, not the average. They do reach 30 watts, however this is a peak, and they may only reach these speeds for seconds. all prone companies are guilt of this. Samsung, apple, google, xiaomi, oneplus, etc.

Amomus, 07 Oct 2022This Pixel 7 is beating any A16 devicesYup, beats A16 in terms of consuming more power, and doing less work. Courtesy from Samsung.

Above Pixel 5 series, the design is too bad, i keep Pixel 5 and 4a 5G as the last ones.

GSMArena can't seem to decide if the Pixel 7 Pro selfie camera has autofocus or not. Their reveal announcement article says it does not, but this one says it does?

And have the worst overheating out of almost any phones (except iPhone 14 Plus maybe).
How so? Where Sony engeniers made a mistake with such an immaculate cooling?

There's a reason no one wants Exynos and the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is a dumpster fire.

Amomus, 07 Oct 2022This Pixel 7 is beating any A16 devicesThats just one horrible comment. A16 and Tensor 2 are very different approaches on SOCs. A16 seems to work great on overall phone performance while the tensor 2 is quite some "weak" exynos that does compute smart-tasks cleverly. Googles SOCs are all about processing photos, accessibility but were never about gaming or high end benchmark scores.

That said: both SOCs seem great for what they are supposed to do. The overall experience will most likely be better on an A15. I myself am a Pixel user btw.

[deleted post]I'd say the original tensor chips actual real world performance was around an SD 855 (in hand experience the 6 pro was on par with my Huawei p40 pro for app and page loading plus usage of apps which had a kirin 990 in it, I disable transitions usually so not sure with that) and so I'd say the tensor 2 is probably around 865-865+ except gpu, gpu was actually decent in tensor 1 so this should be aswell.

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2022Yup, beats A16 in terms of consuming more power, and doing ... more:) I am not an Apple fan, but I must say I agree with you as this chip is miles worse even than Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1, not to mention A16.
