way too expensive if you upgrade your phone to say a samsung next year the screen is useless where if you bought an ipad and iphone you d still be able to use ipad if you changed handset...the fonepad was tried by samsung and didnt really work too well no earpeice didnt help so unless you can hold the pad to your ear id not really bother because who wants to be connected to a headset or have everyone hear your conversation on the speakers?

I don't see any major changes between Fonepad and Nexus 7 other than the chipset. Not sure how they are gonna sell this one!! May be they will release this in countries where Nexus 7 is not available :)

            Asus,
The Padfone Infinity dock should run a standalone android when Padfone is not attached via wifi connectivity. Once Padfone is attached, the dock will be synced to the phone and use phone connectivity. There should be a wifi connectivity as a choice too.

Price is too high as the dock serve no purpose without the phone. It is just like buying a phone and a tablet (but the tablet) merely serves as a charger.

As for the PHONEPAD, Asus, you are a late bloomer when I comes to 7 inch tablet with phone capability. Your Nexus 7 should have the phone capability during launch. 16 GB for Europe and 8 GB for APEC Region? Please, where are your "BRAIN". Should manufacture 8 & 16 GB for the whole world population to use, not by region.

                    Nice,
But the KEY question here is : will it have a KEY-board :-) ?
If it does I might sell my note 2 lte.

                      Wow this is bull****!

You can buy a nice phone + separate tablet for about 600 euro. Why the *** do you want to buy a "screen"? You can't use it without your phone and it costs 400 euro's extra!

This is the fail of the day :)

If I'd be a troll wouldn't be a better comment than: this looks both like iPhone 4S, HTC One and maybe Galaxy S4 that copied both.

I think the Infinity is stunning.. 5 inch is a little too big for a phone in my eyes, I think 4.3 even 4.7 is maximum. Its sexy as hell, but as an iPhone 5 and PadFone 2 owner.. this is damn expensive!!

They will release this in very few countries. GSM arena will review it by mid 2014.

For those who want Android the Fonepad seems really, really interesting... This way they have all the screen size they want and phone capabilities in one device. Hopefully manufacturers will stop that trend of HUGE phones and return to something like 4,3'' MAX for those of us who need primarly a PHONE and do some online tasks like browsing, emails, navigating etc.
