Rosso, 17 Oct 2022This is funniest comment I read yet. Dude, these compani... moreyeah alright. If that was true,
-they wouldn't have removed the audio jack
-they wouldn't have removed the charger and earbuds from the box
-they wouldn't have removed expandable storage
-their customer support wouldn't be as awful as it is
-their devices would be more efficient and less power hungry
-they would go back to having a new design every year
just to name a few. your comment definitely was not well thought out.

Rosso, 17 Oct 2022My case for my Xiaomi 12x makes it like 0.5-1m thicker and ... morethen get a more comfortable case. i use otter box cases and they are perfectly comfortable, while also being very thick. its not the thickness that makes a device uncomfortable, its the ergonomics. Yes, if a device is too thick it will be uncomfortable to handle, but unless your hands are tiny, that point is much higher than you think. as I said, an uncomfortable device or case is caused by the actual ergonomics of it. A thick case that's round and smooth while also thick is going to feel much nicer than a case that is thin but sharp and rough.

Dude, these companies care about earning cash and nothing more, and in Android market features sell more then the brand name, Samsung would happily make a 10mm thick phone with 6000+ battery if it would sell more.

0odle-noodle, 17 Oct 2022yeah, a thick phone. you do realize that a lot of people ... moreMy case for my Xiaomi 12x makes it like 0.5-1m thicker and it's less comfortable, now imagine if it was that much thicker because of battery before the case is even applied, people wouldn't buy it.

Also, what kind of cases you using if it makes your phone twice as thick? Military grade ultra endurance ones? Most people don't.

I am not defending Samsung, I am defending every phone maker because they need to strike balance between thickness for sake of battery and for sake of comfort that will appeal to most people, to you it might not matter, but to most it does, which is why they make them how they do, why would a company happily make a worse product when they could make a better one and have more sales?

Rosso, 13 Oct 2022Because yes, a company doesn't want to make their best... moreThat's exactly it! because companies know how to make their products better and more desirable, they just wont. apple not putting USB-C in the iPhone is a perfect example if this.

Rosso, 13 Oct 2022People want balance, a think phone is uncomfortable to hold... moreyeah, a thick phone.
you do realize that a lot of people put big bulky cases on their phones, which almost doubles the thickness, right? your argument that a 9mm thick phone is more comfortable than a 10mm thick phone is absolutely ridiculous, and untrue. quit defending Samsung, you know they can do better. they don't even have to make the device thicker to increase the battery size. they're Samsung, with leading innovation. they have the ability to do it, they just wont.

Rosso, 13 Oct 2022Because yes, a company doesn't want to make their best... moreThe goal of most companies isn't to make the best products they can make. It's to maximize the profits. The higher the quality, the higher the cost, and the lesser the profits. They can't make the worst products in the world either because people won't buy them. Companies make good, competitive products that will maximize their profits. It doesn't mean that they can't do better.

Rosso, 12 Oct 2022And then you, or at least most people would complain it... moreyoure acting like its 2014 all over again. nobody cares how thick your phone is, especially if a case is going on it anyways. an extra mm of thickness wont hurt, nor will anyone care. sure, maybe 0.01% of people care about how thin their phone is, but priorities have changed. people want bigger batteries, better cameras, brighter screens. nobody cares about the thickness of a phone.

Samsung has the ability to squeeze a bigger battery in their devices, they've proved it multiple times. galaxy note 8 and note 9 have very similar dimensions, yet the note 9 has an 800mah larger battery. this has also been proven with the move from the L shaped motherboard to the rectangular shaped motherboard. They can rework the insides of their devices and manipulate it to have a much larger battery capacity but they wont.

Samsung has the ability to adapt the build of the phone to incorporate a new upgraded battery with minimal compromise, they just wont.
