Can't wait to drop over a grand to have my face data stored in a server somewhere and for the device to inevitably be a paperweight when the company decides to not support it anymore.

Dont want to be rude but paying 1000 more for something which is just inch better from HTC Oculus for 400 is a bit or way too much.
Also i dont trust Facebook and Zuckerberg that they wont track out data and send them everywhere they want.
Maybe for 600 god deal but paying 1500 plus 300 more for controllers no thanks.

Lol no thanks. I would just get pico 4 and save myself more than 1k. The improvements don't even worth more than 700-800 max

The whole world moved to oleds, only VR headsets still using LCDs. You know the only devices where optical quality is (almost) everything , "boast" lower resolution *and* worse/less accurate colors than even relatively cheap tvs, not to talk of image retention/ghosting that Liquid Crystal technology simply can't avoid.

10 years in the "VR revolution" and at this point we're decidedly regressing. Wow!

One major step forward should be to incorporate auto-adjust of lens compensation for the people who want to use it without their glasses. Right now, there's technology to do that, taking in account that the headset have cameras looking your eyes, they can measure your prescription and adjust the focus accordingly.

Until we have either a full Windows desktop environment working wirelessly for 8hours+ at a resolution so high that the virtual monitors are indistinguishable from the real monitors OR we have any good VR games and non of the tech-demo crap we have now. VR isn't going to be adopted by the masses. Price isn't the issue, if it saves you from buying 3x400$ monitors and a giant desk then its already worth it.

$1499 to have "legs"... clown world.

Humanity becomes more removed from reality while the big corporations profit. A sad product, yet the sheep will still buy it.
