"This is digital zoom: The camera's processor crops into the center of the photo."
Adorama article, 'Optical Zoom vs Digital Zoom: What’s the Difference?' states:
"digital zoom is simply cropping out the edges of your frame to create a larger image to fill the space"

For a competitive price it can be good device but as far as we know sony they add 4-5 times the manufacturing costs just because its sony and this going to be doa regardless its a Sony.

The fact that it lacks even the most basic set of photographic features as a compact camera (RAW capture, an optical zoom, a viewfinder) suggests that this camera really was made solely for vloggers. The absence of OIS and PDAF is quite baffling though, especially the latter - DPReview's video sample shows quite a bit of focus wobbling even when the person is standing still and only slightly shaking his head.
In my country this costs roughly the same as the much more competent ZV-1, so I wouldn't try to recommend it to anyone.
