To be honest , i want more performance and optimization over features.

Samsung has had these features, they just weren't well baked into the system before. Although i will agree that Samsung is going down in the same direction as apple

Inthebin, 15 Oct 2022Features wise, yes. Performance and fluidity? 0/10 by compa... more👍 same here, I sold my OP9 pro with OOS 13 beta and got the s22 plus and installed one ui 5 beta. it's such a downgrade in terms of fluidity I couldn't actually believe it, it feels like I went back to 2014 😂
I'll keep it though, for the phone, not the interface 👍

Cyberchum, 17 Oct 2022Yeah, I believe you. Lol.
I'm using Note 10+, a thr... moreif I were to describe the difference after owning both is that the older samsungs were slower but steady, the newer ones are very fast but stutter where you least expect it to, like swiping through photos, or going back to homescreen, or a split second from where swipe to scroll and the actual response and trying to compensate by over scrolling, it drives me nuts.
If you want user experience Samsung is the last OEM to look for, I came back to Samsung because now I'm older and value other things like camera quality or the extra brightness option, Dex, the wide flat screen of the s22 plus.
For interface and fluidity you can't find better then BBK (OP, Oppo, realme) and maybe Pixel, though I hear friends that are disappointed by the battery life, so yeah.

I'm using Note 10+, a three-year old phone, but it's running like a champ. Unless a bug, there's no way the S22 would be performing less.
Telling us that you own it is just telling us. Anyone could come here and tell another silly story.

SShock, 15 Oct 2022Heh and people keep insisting how this isn't happening... moreIt's hit or miss tbh. And OOS 12 is infamously known for several problems so that explains it

SShock, 15 Oct 2022"For just that" ? You're making it sound lik... moreYou may be right. But no matter what I will never buy any Apple product. For phone I will buy Samsung for laptop Asus/HP/Dell for tablet Microsoft Surface for earbuds Sony/Jabra/Sennheiser/Bose/JBL or if budget Anker/Skullcandy/Edifier/Philips/Panasonic. And I always use equalizer to boost the bass even on bass heavy ones.

Cyberchum, 14 Oct 2022Samsung Gallery has been able to extract text from images f... moreThis is correct. In the original source from Samsung it is not stated that it is new. It is just a reminder because it has been more refined than before, and reviewers do not seem to know that it has been existing.
The same is with the lockscreen: the source just says that the way you enter the configuration has been changed and improved. But the features have been there for years.

Dear GSM, please read carefully what Samsung writes and also use your own experiences with One UI for a better understanding, before writing something wrong.
The lockscreen features are not new. Just the way you configure it has been changed because up to know it is a bit complicated to set up the lockscreen. For all Apple fans saying Samsung copied Apple: no the features have been there long before iOS16.
Regarding extracting text in Gallery: Note users could do that for ages and other Galaxy users have been able doing it also for a while. Samsung does not say, it is a new feature. It just names it because all reviewers seem to have no idea that this has been possible. Indeed, the way Apple has implemented it is more or less a copy (less good) of the One UI version. The same reviewer have also no idea that Photo Unblur has been available in One UI since at least two years.
The only real new feature is this stupid Bixby text call.
To make it short: it is all about refinement of 3 own features, copied by Apple.

Tigolebitties, 15 Oct 2022Definitely miles ahead of OxygenOS 13 (read as ColorOS 13)Features wise, yes. Performance and fluidity? 0/10 by comparison. Typing this as an S22 owner, Sammy is crap at optimisation.

I can already add a video wallpaper on my lock screen. Not a new feature at all. This is happening on my S10 running One UI 4.1
