Renders show a Lenovo ThinkPhone or it might be the Motorola Edge 40 Fusion

14 October 2022
Or it could be both. The ThinkPad brand is mostly used for premium Windows-based devices (with rare exceptions like an Android tablet a decade ago).

I like Thinkpads, good-quality, stylish workhorses. So id be keen to see a nice design in the phone of that branding. But hopefully not-too-big or give option of 2 sizes.

    Thinkphone? Think PKB!

Lenovo/motorola, pelase come back to indonesia....

This sounds like a possibility where Lenovo will introduce ThinkPad-branded Android Desktop Mode. After all, Motorola has their own solution called Ready For.

The ThinkPad has always been about being built like a tank and easy to maintain until Lenovo started going with the flow and soldering stuff a few years ago. Would love to support them provided they can reverse this decision for the phone and make it easier to repair

Can't wait to try Moto Edge 40 Pro beast.

I doubt it'll be sold in the US, but as a decades long ThinkPad user, I might consider this, though I did have that one Android tablet and it was, well, it worked?

AHE, 14 Oct 2022The current options for enterprise are low; Google, Apple &... moreTo aim for the enterprise enviroment they cant have dubious bloatware, being compatible with apps such Duo, Meraki, SAP security and other mobile remote management or authentication apps .. past Lenovo's were blacked listed as all other Chinese manufacters. I hosnetly like Lenovo, but they need to release something aimed outside the apac region or it will fail to reach the enterprise market elsewhere.

                            What is Lenovo/Motorola even doing?

They're releasing budget phones that cost as much as an Edge S or Edge 20 currently costs. Both of which are vastly superior to their current lineup aside from the g72 series

I would definitely buy a ThinkPhone if it was similar to the way Sony keep things like the headphone jack, SD Slot, near stock Android etc.

It will probably be briefcase size screen, with horrible fragile edges on the screen. Probably ips or lcd display.

If it was flat screen, (s)amoled screen and phone size of max 6.2", it could be interesting.

The current options for enterprise are low; Google, Apple & Samsung.

It would be great if Lenovo could offer something competitive.

I can see CTOs, VPs and Directors snapping these up based on the name alone; nevermind all the behind-the-back freebies and incentives that Lenovo will throw at them.

However, if Lenovo is going to push 'Think' into the business segment, businesses should demand more. The 'Think' brand is highly synonymous with productivity; much like Dell's Latitudes, Microsoft's Surface Pros and HP's ZBook.

                                    I have my doubts.

I'd prefer the, to ditch the Motorola brand. Just be who they truly are is good, good for everyone to know the truth.
