I ordered mine during preorder, and they say they have absolutely no idea when I will receive my device. It wouldn't surprise me at all if I didn't get it until around New Year's, the way they are going.

Market is slowly but surely speaking now. Enough is enough. The price hikes overseas and lack of compelling features is slowing demand. Apple is living in cuckoo land if it thinks it can raise prices to maintain profits and make customers foot the bill. They make more than enough abnormal profit anyway. They have totally ruined the standard 14 series now with stupid prices and the 14 plus is the most pathetic idea yet for them to make. It doesn’t even have the best battery life. Its a useless model out of place. At least the 13 mini offered something different for certain users. I own Apple products because I like them but I do not agree with everything they (Apple) do.

Because it is not expensive enough. They should have started with a 2000 usd price for the base model, then it would have been an instant market hit. The more expensive the more premium it is the more exclusive the better your customers will like you.

That sounds highly unlikely, because Apple wait times been very accurate in the past.
But if you mean ordering it from local tech store or the carrier, Week sounds about right, that's same where i live, but if i order it from Apple directly it's alteast three weeks wait

Tsmc profits don't directly translate to Apple having more profit. There's more variables in there. And that's for a period of time were iPhone 14 models were not selling yet. They were building them but Apple wasn't selling yet and going by how fast they're delivering them vs the waiting time prediction, i bet they have a lot in stock that they didn't sell yet.
Let's see the numbers then. I bet this iPhone 14 models are not gonna sell as well as 12 and 13 did.
As for Apple stocks, 2021 by this time it was pumping from 140-180 dollars per share, this year? coming down...

The point is they are saying there's a pretty high demand and showing waiting times of 3-4 weeks when in fact people get the devices much much sooner. 3-4 weeks to 1 week is insane variation don't you think? Something doesn't add up or their prediction system is wrong by such a huge margin? Overestimating it so much? I wouldn't think so.

Ordred pro max on laynch day (in EU), was supposed to get it on the 21st, got notification that it wont get here till 16th of next month. Pissed off to no end, will not use that vendoor ever again. Some others already have recieved theirs from other vendoors.

Would be a worse experience for the customer if it was the other way round, wouldn’t it be?
Real production is fluctuating more than some spreadsheet numbers. New hired workers, sick workers, workers that come back from being sick, these factors all play into delivery times. And then it‘s better to overestimate shipping time and beat those, than underestimating shipping time and missing it.
