All thanks to inflation and of course the ever increasing phone prices, if this continues then decline will be even more in coming periods

smartphone become more expensive. Some countries had an inflation, global fuel price hike, salary get reduced. No wonder demands were low.

(even my 2020 smartphone still powerful enough to run heavy apps, n the battery still not broken)

Smartphones released in the last few years are as powerful as a mid-range laptop. As long as the battery hasn't degraded, you can keep using your smartphones for 3 or even 5 years, so not much reason to upgrade.

I think it’s going to get worse after I saw the supposed design and specs for the S23. Samsung, as much as they are the Apple of Android, practically run the mainstream smartphone market. Samsung not doing well will be a bit of a disaster for everyone.

But maybe the 8+ gen 1 chip or gen 2 can restart the smartphone hype-world after nearly two years of smartphones were deemed obsolete by many people due to the 888 and 8 gen 1 imo.

Who knows? Maybe we’re wrong about the S23 specs, and hopefully we are.

If USA wouldnt put feet on Huawei 2 years ago Samsung woudnt have any chance against a much better and cheaper brand.
