Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 gets first taste of One UI 5 beta, its last major update

The 2020 foldable launched with Android 10 and One UI 2.5 and was promised 3 major OS updates and 4 years of security patches.

            I finally updated my Flip 3 to Android 12 and One 4.1.1. It was by accident because I clicked download instead of download later. I was so ticked off this morning that I even called Samsung customer service to help me find a way to prevent it. I tried the wireless ADB and it didn't work.

            I came to realize that it's not that bad. Doesn't show the hideous Material You design of the Pixels. And One UI 4.1.1 added toggles Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the cover display which are extremely useful. I lost SamSprung but CoverScreen OS is superior to it. No need for Bixby to use it.

            So what I thought would be an update that would ruin my phone ended up making it superior than before.

              Apple can update their phones faster/more because they produce less models, have total control of the hardware/software and most the updates are small in terms of changes.

                    Samsung & other android companies really need to fix their upgrading policy like apple. How embarrassing. I prefer android over ios & the short upgrades are bad

                          I have oneui 4.1.1 and android 12L(also will get security updates till september 2023) so i am not buying any new phone without proper software support.

                            Samsung should have commited to more in the first place and that's why I didn't purchase before S22U (with a huge discount at launch, as usual 😂)

                                  Charge 2000 for something and can't even commit to support it. Samsung is almost just as bad as Apple at this point.
