I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of mediatek processors for the sole purpose of them phones not being custom rom friendly.
Redmi Note series has been the poster boy of budget, custom rom and developers friendly phones.
Let's see where the smartphone market heads with all these budget phones coming with a mediatek soc.

Just meant that the dimensity 1080 in the 12 series will be a downgrade on the dimensity 8100 in the 11t series. The main camera will be upgraded. That's Redmi's strategy for the note series they announced last year. Two series a year. One performance focused and one more focused on being an allrounder
