And because the VAT is around 21% and the exchange rate euro dollar is 1 to 1.3 we end up with identical numerical values in the respective currency.

it seems the nexus 4 is an amazing device for the price of 239/269 bucks. 4 core krait, 2 gb ram, 720p display, gyro, tv out, miracast, wireless charging, nfc, etc etc..latest updates.
Then again , how to ruin a phone in 3 steps ?
-no micro sd,
-no usb otg
-air gaps between cpu/ic s and metal frame to give it a nice meltdown.

It's ridiculous that phones like ZTE, Huawei, Alcatel priced even higher than brand name ones like HTC, Sony, NOkia,,,,,. one question: Who's gonnabuy chinese phones when the price is too high?

I wonder how the global pricing is structured. European prices are almost always more than US and Asian pricing. Hopefully it's around us$550-600 for the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 (when it arrives).

Hahaha. Alcatec must b high. Quality and product are really low. Htc and asus padfone infinity. Are good for quality. And taiwanese surely makes better than china.

500€ for the Note 8.0? What a difference comparing with iPad mini! :O And it has the same specs as Nexus 7, and it is so more expensive...
