This phone would be my first option to replace my Mate 30 Pro 5-G ... but ...
Without GMS and 5G Network I don't want to waste my time looking for tutorials how to install GMS as the same way as I did it with my old Mate 30 Pro.

mate20pro was the start of the end(for Huawei on global markets). it was so good that many big countries and ocmpanies were not happy and responded.

The problem is that people are getting lazy.
Some people don't even know how to fry eggs, and if they didn't come in that form at the factory, they wouldn't know what to do with them.

it would be an appealing device if they price it around $900. but,huawei is way too greedy to do that so,it's a trash phone with good camera.

I really cannot wait to look at the main camera's photo quality. While a variable aperture camera lens on a smartphone is nothing new since Samsung first did it with the 2018 Galaxy S9/S9+ and then followed by Sony with the 2021 Xperia Pro-I, the ten-stop aperture is a world first.

Shui8, 25 Oct 2022I've seen the camera samples, previous Huawei bigger s... moreAlthough the mate 40 pro had a bigger sensor, 1/1.28 inch, the aperture is wider on the mate 50 at F1.4, when you take into account equivalence, the mate 50 gets more little.
Whether a larger sensor paired with a smaller aperture gets you a better image is a different question, just because the sensor is larger doesn't automatically mean the image is better.

I've seen the camera samples, previous Huawei bigger sensor produce better image. (Huawei cannot use big custom sensor from Sony anymore because of the ban).
Whats more interesting is the Kunlun glass. Looks like sturdier than Gorilla Victus. People on the Huawei launched place throw the phone on hard surface from higher than your hand level, not even a scratch! 😱😱

Aside from lacking 5g capability (which not everyone cares about, so far), this phone is flagship through and through. The design is beautiful & the specs/camera/battery combo is top-notch as well. (pun intended)
For a company that has faced so much discrimination, they're still making impressive phones.
