Older iPads hold up impressively well, macOS is still better than iPadOS for work, higher prices on the new models - there are plenty of reasons not to get one.

i had the first gen ipad pro.. It still is extremely useful.. but after 5 years of daily use the battery was no longer working for more than 3 hours.. I went to apple.. and they gave a cost of 18k (220 $) + 1 month wait time... So I Sold it for 32K(388$) and got M1 11inch.. for only 770$ brand new.. So instead of spending 220 on battery I spent 380 and got a brand new latest tab.. my point is apple tablets not only last longer but the resale value is so good that it is totally worth it in the long run

Not worth the asking price. Laptop with windows is far better
