Moto's lacking behind and way too far from the competition. Design and form factor are also no where there yet.

Responding to Nokia+SE fan who was replying to RXV@, I would say Motorola has revolutionised music phones longer before the Walkmans with the RORKR E-Series like the E1 and E2 in 2005, and these new phones compete with phones like the SE W200, Nokia 12xx, 26xx and some low-end Samsungs like the E250. Nokia and SE fans are already scared because the "innovator" is back in full force. If these phones are really low-end then u guys have a reason to be scared. Welldone Moto! But the war has just began.

SE + Nokia Fan, 06 Aug 2008Well, comparing these Motorolas with other Budget Cell Phon... moretoo bad SE hasn't smartened up and added a 3.5mm jack. They've got everything(dedicated music chip, good music player, good battery, FM radio broadcasting, shake control, etc..) but none of their W sseries has a 3.5mm jack.

Bye motorola. The moment Sony Ericsson's walkman and Nokia's Xpress Music got a 3 megapixel and 5 megapixel camera ( W902 ) , ROKR just got a 2 Megapixel..
Same goes for the display and its band ( no umts / hsdpa )
It only offers amazing audio output with direct 3.5mm jacks
You know, its lame dude. Do you serious in this business..

Good enough effort from Moto IF... user interface will not be the one found in old handsets (should be faster and more organized), and if the price is right.

Bye Bye Motto, 06 Aug 2008if we say CEO must start from bottom then may be its right.... more3.2mpx bottom??? for me no camera is bottom and is enough! (anyway how many low budget mobile phones do you see on the market with that kind of camera? Anounced phones count too... Yeah, right, none!) Camera mobile phones still just a joke you just don't get enough quality, for what good do you want a 3.2 mpx camera with retarded quality??? 2 inch screen?? ahah, I'm amused! Linus is kind of a OS ans s60 is dead! It is just to limited. Design from the 2006 rokr? just if you predicted the future in 2006! Motorola support existed and still exist on motorola webpage, not in all countries, is true, but in the countries where they still lauch new mobiles... So just think about that...

If these phones costs cheap then I have nothing to complain about. One advantage that I found in motorola phones is the CrystalTalk technology.

if we say CEO must start from bottom then may be its right...but in 2008-2009 the bottom is:
1.Camera 3.2
2.Screen 2 inch
3.Any kind of OS..prefered Symbian S60 since its open source.
4.Better Designe cauz i dont distinguish between this and Rokr from 2006.
5.Support page on Motorolla website for additional software and guide.

Motorola have lacked behind competitors in establishing new markets. Yes SE branded music, however what does there music brand stand for? Each model shows little for music..
Motorola are defining there Rokr brand. 3.5mm jack, song I.D, good memory, Mode Shift & Crystal talk.. All great features & all shine as specification in the Rokr range..
Well done Motorola for bringing in consistency to your range

Loader, 05 Aug 2008Motorola has a big problem...most of the announcements are ... moreyou know what? This is probably the first comment I read here that really says all, VAPORWARE, motorola had presented a lot of mobile phones recently and in my country's motorola web page the most recent ones are the v8 and u9, GOD, what's really needed to motorola start selling their mobiles to everyone??? In europe motorola is basicly dead! latest week ROKR e8 appeared on the webpage near the motorola v3x(!) but there is no place to buy it! THe issue with motorola is not only mobile phones, its everything! The things seem to have stopped on time and we just don't see updates... I want motorola phones, start selling them!!!

These are not the phones designed with Kodak. The Kodak phones are the ZN5 series. Know what you are talking about before you type.

Welcome back Moto from hibernation. This seems to be the first attempt by the newly appointed CEO, Mr Sanjay Jha, from Qualcom. He's starting on the entry-level, which is'nt bad at all considering the fact that one has to start from the bottom and work their way up. Yes there's still a long way to go and the other guys won't be waiting for Motorola either but they'll get there slowly but surely. Well, again, welcome back Moto but it's time to play catch-up!
