I agree...i have not been a fan of Motorola design. They need to radically change the direction of their design form factor now that Google has something to do with it. I expect the rumored X phone to be a great departure from the usual Moto design but keep their great battery tech..hopefully a battery with 3500+mAh. Tough deciding which of these top devices to make as ones daily smart phone

Motorola has more than 50 years of experience in mobile communication. As Mercedes Benz are making good motor cars and nobody can tell them how to make a good motor car, the same implies with Motorola. So if you want to drive a Lexus or an Infinity - it just not the same as the real one! If you want to compare phones please not only comapre it with the software - please compare it with solid design features like Kevlar and hardened glass which improves the durabilty and reliabilty. I do not want to own a cetain brand, with so called leading technology, who just cannot take the punches of life!!!! I hope that Motorola will sort out their problems and that Google we wise enough to load it first with the newest technology (new Android versions) before giving the same technology to their competitors.

the way i see motorola vs any smartphone. motorola stands to all of them...battery, antenna reception, UI friendly and best of all the "name". Motorola is pioneer in communication since WWII up to this date. Reliability and integrity in terms of the product.

According to Wikipedia, the best selling Motorola ever is the Motorola C200, and it sold a total of 60 million units.

                      So no, don't lie.

There are only 8 phones models that have sold more than 100 million units. All of them are Nokia phones.

i dont know whats google standard but as what i can see motorola has better standard than google.

here in the philippines, only people with discerning taste and style can appreciate motorola phones.

been a moto fan more than a decade already and im just happy im using these quality phones.

AnonD-118847, 01 Mar 2013Amusing comments from Google, especially when you consider ... moreAgreed. At minimum, unlock the phones so alternate ROMs can be installed. Next, release whatever code you can to Cyanogenmod to enable them to continue upgrades. Finally, when a promise is made (which included upgrading the Atrix 4G to all Android versions released within a year, to include ICS, then MOTO going back on that), stick to it. Even if it's not economic. Of course, there the key is not make promises you don't/can't keep.

                                        What a misfortunate comment!
Just for you to know, mr. Patrick Pichette,
Razr HD maxx was 1st smartphone with huge battery life, one of the very few offering AMOLED 300+ dpi at launch time! Kevlar and what a personality for a phone! Mr. Pichette, do not dishearten YOUR own people, who have done a remarkable job. Why don't you better think twice and learn from Moto and adopt their standards?
keep up the good work staff at Motorola. Many, but many of us do appreciate your fine work!
