Anonymous, 28 Oct 2022I think they are delivering great new features at cheap pri... moreNone at this price but you could get a 256gb Realme gt2 pro with Snapdragon 8 gen 1 and two 50 mpx cameras, and a 2k Samsung LPTO screen for cheaper (about $30 less) than the 210W version. You could also get a 128gb Redmi k50 ultra for the same price with snapdragon 8 gen1+ so the value is not particularly outstanding. I tried the pro model and pro+ today. Photos looked pretty good on both but the video has the same old problem. No EIS at 4k so only 1080p video is usable. They did the same think with the Redmi note 11 pro (in China anyway). This kind of takes the shine off the camera. Overall the k50 ultra probably has a better camera even though the main sensor is weaker (hm6) as it has a better ISP and offers stabilisation in 4k at both 30fps and 60fps.

Actually, 5000mAh with 120W in Note 12pro+ is anytime better than 4300mAh with 210W in Note 12 Explorer Edition....
(5000mAh+120W) > (4300mAh+210W)

12GB ram for Dimensity 1080 is definitely an overkill, 8GB ram would do the job. Like 12GB ram might make a difference for Dimensity 9000 series. Meanwhile iPhone comes with 6GB ram.

Disappointed on the camera department, especially the macro camera/sensor - feels like a major downgrade from the Note 10.
I am tempted to go for the Pixel 7 instead, since good photography is important to me.
(I am using Gcam on my Note 7, I prefer this application compared to the native Xiaomi version most times)

This Redmi note 12 series is only available in China (at least now) so they are not even being sold in the same markets.
