300 million new phones per quarter.... And they greenwash that they are good for environment by removing the charger! Think of all the e waste generated year by year from old phones.... I'm guilty of changing often but always resell.
These companies are really doing less than zero for the environment despite the sleek advertising.

    -Trix-, 28 Oct 2022Have you though comedian career? No man... but a redistribution among the smartphone market would be beneficial to everyone. Drop Apple's market share by over 80%, Samsung's by 20-30%, and Xiaomi by 10%, and invest funds into the development of a new open-source OS or AOSP builds.

    I'm not sure if the smartphone market should be free. In a world where communications are essential for everyone, aggressively pushing technological marvels (Z Fold 4) and flagship killers from the likes of Realme and Sony towards both the poor and the upper middle class while sacrificing "luxury products" would probably be for the greater good. We must learn from the PC market where Microsoft basically still has a monopoly.

        Like I've said before, government policies need to be passed in order to stop Apple. This company has too much influence over the smartphone market, and Android handsets have gotten good enough or better than iPhones for the past few years now. Meanwhile Apple is basically releasing the same product again and again.

          Mmmma, 28 Oct 2022We need a third os in the market Google ruined change of that a long time ago already by giving Android everyone free, OEMs didn’t but any effort to build something own and now we are where we are. 3rd OS have zero chance to succeed.

                Apple grows probably from these old cheap XR to 11 series... looking in GSMArena these phone get inside top 20.
