Staggered HDR...should mean different exposure length on different photosites, right? A burst would be just regular HDR...yet it's a 4-1 merge, not a 9-1 merge...so have two blue expose the longest and a medium and a short for green and red respectively? It's either genius or disaster.

Man, I'm really loving VIVO / IQOO at the moment! They're really pumping good stuff out in the market. I just fervently wish they unify their code and merge base with ColorOS and stop the abomination that is FunTouch. They're cracking the hardware code left right and center and just need to work on their software.

I don't like the Chinese customization layers, but it comes with an ultra Sonico reader, something that certainly convinces me when choosing, I'll closely follow the x90 that is supposed to come out in a few months! Everything can't be Samung, apple pixel and Xiaomi, we need more brands in the game to break the monopoly

This is promising. It'll be good but pricing will be very high too (similar to the Xiaomi 12s Ultra but probably about $80 more. That is probably fair enough though given that they have their own ISP and will have a newer processor). The question is will it actually perform significantly better than the predecessor in practice. The Xiaomi 12s ultra didn't really make any significant improvement on the Xiaomi 11 ultra despite the bigger sensor so will be interesting to see if Vivo can make any significant improvement.
