Nobody's forcing you to buy Samsung's flagships. The real problem is people like you slinging mud on those who have worked hard for their money and are now in the position to splurge on whatever they well like. Stay salty.

With no Chinese flagships incoming, it's so obvious move. Not so sure tho if it's any good for consumers... wish there will pop out another brand here, like old siemens. Maybe even some chip maker, but cars need that more tho lol.

DXO mark lab test has rank s22 ultra placed at 73th for battery usage .This means that phone has poor batery life compare to midrange Realme / Iphone

here in Slovakia 90% of people earns between 700-900 eur a month from which half goes to bills like rent, gas, water, electricity, traveling from and to work, phone bill, tv and internet bill.
And from last 300 clotthing, food, cleaning stuff etc.
One is happy if he is left with 50 extra to next month.

JayrBars, 01 Nov 2022Make your foldables (and other phones) cheaper. i lowkey kinda want to recommend samsung to make a foldable phone with no flagship socs. like, who on earth want to gaming with the latest flagship soc in their flip-not-so-durable phone paired with such a small battery? why don't they just use weaker soc but with more efficient power consumption as that too will eventually lower its price? peace ehhe

Samsung good luck with selling a 1500 eur device on a global health and econony crisis when people barely have enough for a regular 300 eur phone.
And with knowing all your foldables contains lot of bloatware and a screen scratchable by nail with a repair cost of 700+.

prakesh, 01 Nov 2022if the battery life of the foldable phones are great I will... moreThe battery is one of the last things to think about when buying a foldable phone. You should worry more about the extremely fragile display. If you only check the phone 2-3 times per day and you're not a heavy user, they're ok. But if you're a heavy user, that display will break or scratch within a week.
                        I'm a Samsung user but I wouldn't get a foldable.
Also , watching videos on the large display is horrible because of the black bars around. The only advantage that they have is that you can multi-task easier and it fits in your pocket.
                        Peace!

Samsung tend to want things which they can't get. For many years they already wanted big Galaxy series success continue, but it didn't happen. Now for years they wanted big foldable success, didn't happen either.

They are lucky if they can sell 250m phones next year

I see lot of Samsung to iPhone switchers and that's a very bad news for Samsung.

They take away the stuff that rise the cost, but at the same time rise the prices because they know people will pay.

Foldables are just another methods of trying to get more money out of people, sure the tech is great but think here for a second, companies around us are making better foldables than Samsung does, yet Samsung doesn't change the crucial parts of their foldable phones.

                                    Why?

Why would they, their brand is strong and in many markets THEIR foldable is the only one you can buy.

They don't need to change, because they sell no matter what.

Make your foldables (and other phones) cheaper.
