Man you funny. Oh i understand you love to keep your phone for like 7 years like google with tons of updates every month or so and after 5 years you will end with updated but outdated device unable to run new apps and games because of old hardware.
Congratulations.
For that i rather will buy something relevant like X30 or X40 Motorola which i sell after 2 years and go for a new phone.
Walking with 5-7 years old brick is creepy.
Motorola compared to google is far beyound 2017.
At least it have a lot better 200 Mpix cameras and a lot faster charging with a lot better CPU and GPU. Tensor or how it is called even half baked mediatek like Dymensity 700 is more trustable.

I own a lot of other devices where the first thing i do after unboxing is apply a screen protector and a case. I do own a S22U and 13 Pro where I applied screen protectors by myself and yes I used the micro fiber cloth that comes with the package. And I use the same brand screen protectors and cases for all my devices. So I know what I am talking about.

Anonymous, 02 Nov 2022Sharp and hard blades do.I've done that for the first time on HTC Wildfire, years ago and it didn't leave ANY marks. Here it just scrapes lines like it's plastic. Makes no sense.

A very big disappointment. Even in Wales in October it's still overheating regularly.

i must say i was quite shocked when watching JerryRig's Pixel 7Pro's durability test.
It's the same problem like the OnePlus 10T.
This is definitely a design flaw, and a known one on top.
I hope G will fix that in the next iteration, because this weakness is practically relevant, e.g. when wearing the phone in the back pocket.
Thus not a edge case at all...

The important thing on camera are the lenses not the metal which surround it. And on the bend test, at least it dind´t bend/flip like iphone 6 did in the past. just a minor fissure.

One of the worse built phones I have used. I tried to apply screen protector and first phone to get scratched by a micro fiber cloth which comes with the kit. Second scratch after using the alcohol based wet wipes. I now have 3 super visible scratches on the screen and two on the visor.

Eh, not really surprising. Metal doesn't necessarily imply scratch resistance.
I still much prefer this polished metal visor over the glass visor, feels more premium to me.

I really hate the giant camera hump on the Pixel 6 and 7 series phones. It's totally gratuitous. Look at the Xperia 1 IV. It has very large sensors, optical zoom, and yet it's a thin phone and has basically no camera hump. All these giant humps these days are unnecessary and reflect poor engineering and design.
