Good innovation mades to preven water damage but will it also can avoid heat damage due to all compartment being sealed with nano coat. How the processor breath and release heat naturaly if it being block by nano sealing coat.

not everyone works in a sheltered indoors environment. I work outdoors. I need a phone to withstand harsh weather environments of the northeast usa. If I drop my cell or blue tooth in a puddle of water I like knowing it will continue to work after I extract it from the water. Yes this will sell and have a huge market. Military, police,
        utility workers...etc...

Nash, 02 Mar 2013Yeah this is the tech we need. i need to talk on the phone ... moreMaybe not underwater much, but I live in the desert. Now you might not think I would worry about getting my phone wet out here, but when you are out in the wild photographing animals, birds whatever, a sudden downpour can roll over the nearby ridgeline without warning, and suddenly you are far more concerned with keeping a camera that costs rather more than a phone dry. I have lost 2 phones this way up in the mountains, and would love this. Moreover, I can see it's application in the Photography world to be heavily sought after as well. Desert Storms are not just a cute name for a war, they can be expensive and dangerous.

Jezz...why don't people yak when they can and not everywhere. As if people don't talk a lot of garbage on cell phones anyway. What next...a phone that i can use in space. god knows when i am going to get there but lets mass produce it for the planet already

Go joke somewhere else;). Now, not to get wet by water is more advanced then to block water from going in. There is no doubt about that, really. Second, if water goes in, there is no need to protect the device from pressure, isn't it? Do some physics so to understand better what a stop the water means and what coating means. Now, go be a troll in other parts.

WATER PROOF is not euqual to WATER RESSISTANT(p2i technology)

So it means NOKIA WILL BE STEP BEHIND SONY xperia Z,acro ,and motorola defy and samsung xcover which are waterproof.

just to clarifiy P2i tehncology is WATER REPELLENT .
This means that you cant put your phone UNDER WATER - it just protects from splashes and similar stuff!

WATER repellent IS NOT EQUALL to WATER PROOF !

SmartPhones that can go under water are Motorola Defy,Galaxy Xcover, Sony Xperia ACRO .. Sony xperia Z

PHONES WHICH ARE USING IP57 /IP67 standars are waterproof .

Other phones like Motorola RAZR , RAZR HD RAZR MAXX are just SPLASH PROOF .
                                    THEY are using p2i nanotechnology.
AND p2i phones cant go 1meter (for 30mins) under water like water proof phones.

Well let me clarify for you, it said that new nokia device were unlike the xepria z which involve the vacuum caps and lids but it uses P2i which protects the phone on a molecular level making liquid substances bounce off the motherboard and various other internals meaning that they are superior to the xperias. Please read the news the next time before you bash any manufacturer.
