The Galaxy A12 has better viewing angles and is brighter than the Galaxy A22 5G, whereas the A32 4G is obviusly on a whole different level with OLED. The A12 has PLS LCD and the A22 5G has TFT LCD, even Samsung treats these as different species, because that's what they are. Samsung uses 3 different screen technologies for phones, and that's OLED and it's variations, IPS/PLS and TFT.

I work at a store where people bring their phones for cases and screen protectors, so I've seen all the Galaxy A and S series in person, haven't even seen the box of most of them. And even if I did, oh well, if I'm wrong because I believe what Samsung says on their boxes, is that really my fault? Are you now trying to say that Samsung is lying to their customers? Because even I don't think they do, I don't like what they are selling but they are pretty honest about everything as they should be.

The only iPhones I ever used was an iPhone 4S and SE (2020) and I liked the 4S back in 2017, but it is obviusly outdated now, the SE was good enough for 6 months after that battery life became horrible and I would never use an iPhone as my main again, even tho I know an iPhone 13/14 Pro/Pro Max would have great battery life. I don't hate Apple but I ain't a fan.

YOU are the one to... moreOf course you would say that, but you even said it yourself that TFT has bad viewing angles and IPS/PLS basically upgrades it. If it upgrades it then they aren't the same anymore. That's like saying the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro are the same, just 14 Pro being the upgraded version. The upgraded version of something can't be the same as it was before it got upgraded.. Monitor screens use IPS and TFT as well for 2 completely different reasons and that's because they are 2 completely different technologies. For monitors it makes sense, you are gonna be looking at them in the room, TFT is more responsive than most IPS so it is better for gaming, while IPS is more color accurate so it is better for serious work. I work in this industry, I'm not getting my info from the internet, I have my own experience with it. And according to my own experience TFT is outdated and should never be used after 2023, while IPS and PLS are perfectly good enough.

There are 2 types of TFT panels, one is called TFT and is horrible, while the other is called IPS and is good. Why does it matter so much to you what they are technically? On the specs list if the phone has IPS it will say it has an IPS, not TFT... they aren't the same and they can't be the same, since they look and work differently. Stop spreading misleading information.

I understand what they are, but in the end they can both be used as the display itself which to the user will mean that they will have a horrible experience with just TFT, but a good one with IPS.

                              IPS and PLS are just upgrades to TFT

                              A TFT without IPS will have poor viewing angles while one with it will be better

                              My windows tablet has IPS and the viewing angles are good to look at but my laptop without IPS looks way worse

                                    Bought a galaxy M13 last month and it's same quality as my other phone with IPS

                                    Even the galaxy m33 is the same. Both are good quality panels just that there's no "IPS" written anywhere in the specs

PLS and IPS are both TFT display types.Even if that's true both PLS and IPS have great viewing angles and good enough brightness, while TFT doesn't. I have seen the Galaxy A22 5G with the display on max brightness, it's horrible.
