I would say that this pay 8 would be good idea so the dot have a meaning. Moderating who will have it dont work as we have seen it. there were questionable methods how the checks were given.

People who fame some other people names got it while the people who had 6-7 digits fallowers dint get it. People who make video content and had a lot of fallowers trough out several web sites didnt get it. People who make comics but were not woke didnt get it. People who made article a decade ago in some specific news site got it. I bet even bots had that blue check mark. I know a lot of people who asked for it but never got it. It had no meaning what so ever. It was given only for the minorities, news sites and celebrity's

Don't see how state sponsored propaganda groups won't spend that money to still put BS out there like China, ISIS, AQ Terror groups, Pakistan ISI, Russian Intelligence agencies et cetera.
