The fact is Xiaomi offers better value in mid-range section, even flagship killer section.
A series don't even get chargers anymore in the box, in a freaking mid-range box.
So sorry that you felt threatened that someone doesn't like Galaxy A series, i don't even see why do you care so much but let's go Samsung fans lol.

Does the Redmi 12 keep the 3.5mm and microSD slot? No expandable storage is a deal breaker for me unfortunately otherwise great phones. Happy with my Redmi note 11 pro+

Redmi phones became really bad in camera direction. Not so bad sensors and lenses, but they cannot measure properly light and in bright sun or darker environment all the time the exposure has to be adjusted manually.

Waiting for the global models in hopes they'll use SD chips instead. And as others have mentioned, the fast battery charging is stupid since it'll lower the life of the battery. Will still charge it over night so meh.

Your specs suggestion is nice but again think of context of other models, they won't cannibalize other phones planned. That's the way it works. They'd give more but with LCD (say) and people would complain again Just choose or wait for model that suits you the best.

Hemedans, 06 Nov 2022I don't agree with that guy but 778G is better soc tha... moreIf you ask me which chipset I want for the global Pro+, I would have a hard time choosing between Snapdragon 778 and Dimensity 1100. 778 because currently it has the best performance to price ratio among Snapdragon chipsets. The 1100 is still more advanced and outperform the 1080 despite their names being so close.

Such extra HW in Redmi Note -which is otherwise nothing but a midranger- is no news.It's an addiction in one model so no reason to complain. Consumer can choose it or model not having it for more balanced package. Long battery life is no goal anyway, they gonna offer you next one in 6 months, also SW support accordingly nothing special.
The lack of SD card support is more sad, Redmi Note has a history of being generous about such features so users do expect having it.
Someone wants more/something else? Then choose from zillion of models Pocos, Lites, etc. But first wait for global version to make a final opinion.

It's really funny to see the comments section demand Flagship level specs on what's always been a Midrange Segment.
Also people saying Chipset 1 is like Chipset 2 so Chipset 1 is old despite being obviously new.

Although redmi notes pro has some great specs such as the main camera sensor, fast charging, screen etc, but the main drawback is the mid range 1080 CPU. This week went through Coolapk, one of famous Chinese computer and mobile device community, many genuine users had uploaded the images of their new note 12 pro , the benchmarks , and given their test results and feedbacks. When playing games such Honor of Kings, users are feeling lagging, moderate daily using such as switch between apps, lagging. This new phone reminds me the xiaomi cc9 pro, with great cameras but midrange CPU, also it's main issue was lagging.
