Samsung phones are out of box slower than other brands with same SoC.
After every update, it gets worse. Just like iphones.
It is why so many samsung users do factory reset every 6 months.
70% of ppl I know are samsung users, they all complain phones get slow.
Ppl that use from flagships to low midranges.

Sony are smooth tho, my Xperia XZ2 is still going strong and smooth, although battery ain't holding as good.
Also did anyone noticed that the Xperia XZ2 and the compact XZ2 have the best details in any smartphone when it comes to gsmarena night comparison pics? Just choose low light and look at the left part of the 5 dollar bill, under the starts, it's one of the rarest phones where you can clearly read the "THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR...."
Compare it to any phone you like except XZ2 compact or XZ3, it's just mind-blowing
