I reckon it has a 2.4 inch screen because if it had a 2.8 inch screen wouldn't that be too big for a candy bar phone?

with several thousands of phones available all over the world, it's not impossible for some phones to "look-alike". dont be such haters! y'all should understand that it is just a matter of preferences... some people may prefer nokia, sony ericsson or even alcatel... many reactions here are solely based on which brand they like... i mean it is ok.. it is expected... but talking trash only shows how narrow minded you are.. so please.. stop hatin... and just comment on something based on what it can do for you..

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2008the 123 keypad looks like c702 the upper keypad (call/menu... moreHats off to Samsung for creating a phone that kept everyone finding a possible Nokia or SE match. You people are amazing. Some even went all the way to say its color matches with 6300..oh please as if there are no phone with that gray/black shade. C702? that type of keypad is even used by Nokia. Their positioning is different. The middle column is shifted a bit downward, back lighting is different. Stop having this wild ideas please. It resembles N82 I agree, but the key buttons are not completely as in N82. In N82 the numbers are written outside of its tiny buttons. There is a reason why call/menu button/c are there. You cant shuffle them around. That messed up the user friendliness. I'm glad that samsung at least tried a different keypad here. This is not the first time though, you have i550.

If Samsung keeps making same button, you will say how boring. If they try something else its a copy. How funny. Look at SE, phones are great but they know how to make only 2 types of keypad. It didn't change for years. Anyways keep digging guys.

it looks like a cross between a 6300 and a N82. Not bad though, should have decent features, just symbian kills it completely, so much it's not even worth buying.

I think Samsung should rename the company name from "Samsung" to CopyPaste.
Copying from Nokia 6300 & SE W810i keypad.

Are Nokia and Samsung sharing not just software, but also hardware platforms?

As with others, I see a Samsung branded N82 with some differences.

Hmmm? Looks like N82 without the Xenon Flash and without CarlZeiss lens. Maybe it is thinner, but still looks just like any other brick to me.
