But that’s not new, the first phone to fail a bend test and be publicly shamed about it was the iPhone 6 Plus, and that was made of aluminum. You acted as if it was world news that „wow aluminum can bend too“

They cheapen out on materials ever since 5. My now 3 years old rog 2 is like a tank and still running great even though I dropped it few times on hard surfaces from waist level

My ZTE Axon 7 used to bend all the time and Jerry didn't even fully break that one. I'd have to bend it back to get the buttons unstuck.

in the first place this phone will never fit in your pocket so Jerry rig test not valid for this phone

This is not some 100$ Walmart device. Imagine what would this comment section say if it was the Z Flip or the iPhone getting snapped like this.
And even if you dont care about having bended phones, if the battery gets bended like this, you will get serious injuries if it explodes.

as he said in the past his bend test does not represent everyday use, it just shows the stractural integrity of a device, since some doesn't break and some just slightly bend and still be useable. People will buy/use what or any device that they want it shouldn't matter if they are careful with it or not, this type of test could just be another factor to consider before buying a device.

Well, that's the point. Being a gaming phone that costs like hell like an iPhone should be at least durable. Its been like several generations and there build quality is still poor. This is why I like Blackshark phones, they're not too pricey but, still offers good performance too price ratio, add to it it good build quality. FYI: Blackshark phones have managed to survived several of JerryWrig's durability test.
If Asus plans on maintaining this Gamecool6 cooling system, they should at least make the frame sturdy or titanium to withstand even a simple bend test. Also, there motherboard quality is poor for Rogphones, always dying after a few months. Former Rog 5 user here.
