That's top level bullshi#@!. Older realme 9i has mediatek 810 6nm processor compare to this which is having 700 7 MN processor which us 2 years old now. No wonder smartphones shipments are declined.

Hanif Fikri, 11 Nov 2022no phone could beat 250$ poco f3 so farIn my country you can find used samsung A52s and S20 FE for less than $250. There just no point buying new phones this year, everything new around $500 is barely average and everything cheaper is just trash.
2022 was only upgrade in prices lol.

Why are companies downgrading on the 5G cheaper models compared to 4G ones???

Dimensity700 is almost 2years old. There is absolutely no reason(except greed obviously)to downgrade the phones hardware due to ''more expensive'' 5G SoC, not when they use the same old chip from early 2021.

+less bloatware compared to Poco/xiaomi Miui
          +same screen and snap870.

🤣🤣 All they do is push crazy charging speeds

So they trade in an amoled display for the same processor only with a useless 5G modem this time. And the same garbage JN1 sensor.

Strategic planning even being the only Chinese brand (OnePlus) to penetrate the US market

It has a triple card slot, that's great... But...
It has an SOC that was already garbage 2 years ago
It doesn't have NFC, ridiculous in 2022
                      Garbage cameras
And only a 90hz display, LCD is ok, but should be 120hz

So basically what I'm saying is, it's more garbage
The Realme 7 5G from 2 years ago crushes this. Phones are getting worse, much worse. Not better

AnonD-1066415, 11 Nov 2022People should have less expectations from sub 200EUR phones... moreIn last 4 years I have bought 2 Chinese phones around $200

                              Oppo A5 2020 (A lowend phone)

And Poco X3 NFC (A entry midrange phone)

Both received 2 software updates and were pretty much bug free. (Not that I care everything I do can be currently done on any android 9 or above phone as Chinese roms pack a lot of features that are integrated in mainstream android later. E.g. A12's mic and camera usage icons were available in color os 6 way back in 2019)

MIUI is okayish but Color OS was way better than my expectations, I switched after a bunch of Samsung's midrange phones.

From quality of hardware and software, I'd say buying a cheap phone from BBK electronics isn't a bad choice at all. But look for models that are launched globally and not just in 3-4 countries e.g. A5 2020 was launcher in Europe, Australia, China, Middle East etc. Oppo launches some models specific to one or two regions those don't receive good support.

The Android Freak, 11 Nov 2022Xiaomi 12 Lite price didn't drop yet? Well sh*t. Now I am looking at the price in my country and the 12 Lite is around 420-450EUR now, discounted. Two weeks ago it wasn't discounted.
Anyway, it's November, so is practically Black Friday all month in here. Prices are all over the place, lol.
Then again, I bought the OnePlus Nord 2T also with discounted price (360EUR), since its initial launch price. So, I am not totally disappointed.

The Android Freak, 11 Nov 2022What about Poco F4? I never faced issues mentioned by you e... moreActually I was thinking of buying the Poco F4. I wanted a super fast charging phone (minimum 65W charging speed) and around 350-400EUR price point. Also, I was thinking of Xiaomi 12 Lite or Redmi Note 11 Pro+.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite was a little more expensive than what I anticipated (500EUR), while the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ came with Android 11 out of the box (not very good in 2022). So, in the end I bought the OnePlus Nord 2T (360EUR). Had MiUi and OneUi phones in the past, so I said to try something cleaner like Color OS/Oxygen OS.
Also, I like more the in display fingerprint readers. And Poco and Redmi phones in general have physical ones on the side.
