Anonymous, 05 Mar 2013because to a certain extent, they still need to improve the... moreit isn't about lag its about making your smartphone much more usable than a pc i already use it as a laptop(note 2) i run backtrack and android at the same time and no lags at all on both Systems i had iPhone 4S switched it to EVO 3D Not because it lagged but because it is a boring OS, never had any problem with the EVO 3D so with the Xperia Neo, if you say the phone lags than it is already in your mind and no one could convince you otherwise.

[deleted post]because to a certain extent, they still need to improve the internal specs, other wise, no one is going to buy the phone if the specs remain the same. Everyone knows that. Only Android phones are desperately increasing internal specs because it lags like crap. BTW, it will always lag and continue to do so.

So even apple copy, yes stylus is not a new thing, but it was Samsung who dared to re introduce it to the world and because of its success, apple may try and integrate it, does that mean the iPhone size will increase again? i cant imagine it being very useful on the iphone current, maybe on future ipads, Steve jobs may not have liked the stylus,larger screen size, iPad mini and more, but since his demise things are changing at apple.

AnonD-5000, 05 Mar 2013So now apple is copying samsung..stylus were introduced in the smart phones that failed prior to the apple iphone 1. As you should remember, they were refered as "PDA'S" and they had a stylus.
But knowing apple, this is extremely unlikely as they were planning to do a stylus for their mac pro's, and not their smart phones.

While I am not convinced on the viability and usefulness of a stylus for tasks that are much quicker to complete with a finger/thumb, I have to say, Apple is really playing catch up. They are no longer the trailblazers.

- 7 inch tablets (iPad Mini)
- Layout of iOS (cumbersome and long winded layout)
- Widescreen mobile devices(only iPhone 5, no tablet)
- No NFC Support (they will support it eventually)

1) android... moreThe point is that Android is laggy... only when you compare a $200 Android entry level phone to a $700 iPhone. But take a high-end Android phone and you'll see that it's not laggy anymore... that's magic, that's awesome... too easy to win if you don't consider the price. The good of Android is that it is conceived to run even on entry-level devices, and that you can do almost everything you do with an iPhone or high-end Android, except of course for demanding games. It's better to be able to do everything with some lags that not being able to do some things at all because your phone is too entry-level (see windows phone) or being able to do everything just because your cheapest phone is a $500 phone (see apple).
What's more, we've had enough of this refrain... android is laggy, android is laggy... really WP and iPhone users cannot come out with something different? Seems that they cannot find anything beyond lags that their OS can do and Android cannot, while if you compare Android to its competitors the list is long... widgets, home screen widgets, face unlock, unlocked BT and tethering, free file transfer, live wallpapers, ability to change launchers, dialers and so on... do you really think that Android users listen to your "it's laggy" refrain anymore?

You need to use an iOS device to actually verify if there is lag. The Appstore doens not have lag, it takes time to download (depending on your internet speed) Downloading and lag are by far not the same thing.

Stylus patenting, thats something, I think this application should be rejected , because stylus was used in symbian and windows phone much earlier, but none wanted it patented, as it was meant for all peoples interest. Patenting even features , shows how much of innovation that is copied by Apple wants its registered with them, so no one else can use it, without they getting paid.
Its really stupid to patent stylus, but its Apple they do stupid things for personal gains.
