The reason why the reason less people complaining about removal of microsd is mostly only use smartphone as communication, and not exceed memory usage on thier internal memory. and funny you called it as minority voice lol.

Honestly cloud storage is fine as "additional" option for extra backup or another storage but not for "replacement". Because :

1. is never replace microsd as extended storage for user, specially on offline usage.
2. cloud storage is need internet connection which is required better pricing and coverage which is no meet. prone to damage the file is not stable enough to transfer and we dont know is successfully uploaded on provider side.
3. cloud storage is no ideal for privacy since provider can taking hostage on your file if your subscription is expired or legal strike on your account. Is complicated when you want migrate it to another provide as example.
4. large internal is pointless if the durability is not improved too much, and is cant be used as backup storage since backup thingy is need different container than internal storage.

"SD 778+" pfff nah it's just gonna be a re-branded Redmi note 12...which begs the question like why bother with POCO. Just because of different looks and stupid camera bumps?

All Poco x4 lineup failed. I hope this one will not fail this time.

And their long term software support is pretty good, main issue is that they need insanely long to deliver it. Which is not surprising given how many models they release monthly. Phones with Android 11 are just now getting Android 12 updates. When Android 13 has been out for months already.

I have Poco X4 GT which was released with Android 12. I'm guessing I might get Android 13 sometime next year and very likely not at beginning of it...

I've been a fan for years honestly, but I dropped them because of the software aspect and I refuse to be blinded by their price and hardware features. Sure the hardware is really tempting but that is short-lived when the software begins to fail

If they rebranded xiaomi redmi 12 with 778g+ it wouldn't be bad at all! Only thing missing is the microSD slot.

778g+, headphone jack, microSD slot and isocell GN1 with OIS would be excellent.

Get real, most people would still be good with a computer from 2005 and get their jobs/needs met faster if software was written correctly.
I get it, there are people who need the bandwidth, but i think there should be an expandable standard that allows you to plug in 100MB/s card and a 6GB/s(maybe faster?) card in the same slot without adding on some massive case/contraption to the phone.
How ever expandable storage is a must today more than it was 10 years ago, one of the reasons would be there are more people working on their phones daily and their data is work critical, therefore if the phone suffers a hardware malfunction it would be wiser to have a removable option that is easy to acces for any normie.

Used most of my phones since 2012 for about 4 years each (3rd one now started it's 3rd year and still strong). A case and a screen protector are cheaper to manufacture and more eco friendly than a new phone.

I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a rebranded Xiaomi 12 Lite.

Kids these days, know nothing about nothing and think they're something. People around me are overpaying for mobile plans and i'm here chilling with an sd card slot. If you're so ignorant and don't want to spend money else where then you do you, but if there is a good amount of people that request that feature then the manufacturers can go bankrupt as far as we care.
