AutoFocus, 23 Nov 2022None of those phones owned by you is Nokia but HMD with a &... moreYes bro i could understand your phones issues as its a electronic device some may have good experience some may have bad except wide audience should not have the same issue that its a manufacturing defect completely. But this is why manufacturer gives us warranty so that we can resolve our issues at no cost.
Not just HMD i had issues with some other brands like JBL over the ear headset having charging port issue within 1 year and my Dell laptop having battery issue within 2 years this is common for an electronic device and it is not related to brand but related to device.
Let me recall even Samsung had the issue of battery expl0ding but they have to recall their device models that doesn't mean whole company is junk.
Even i explained at last my Nokia 6 was initially had issue for the display but it got replaced under warranty for free. If they have not replaced my device they might have broke the trust which i had from HMD Global but they did care about customers is what i found in their after sales service at that time.
Actually i forgot to tell that it was my third time i went to customer care before that 2 times only my Nokia 6 display unit got replaced even that was free under warranty and third time they replaced my entire device that too for free.
That time the company was literally new but still shown a good sign.

Before buying Nokia 6 i have checked the HMD Global portfolio who are they and found out there most of the executives are of original Nokia Mobile unit which placed in Microsoft Mobile division when Nokia failed. Before buying even i was worried since it was new company that time but now since 2017 using Nokia 6 as a primary phone till date proved me my choice was right that time to pickup HMD Global manufactured Nokia branded phone.

AutoFocus, 23 Nov 2022Yes I haven't used a Nokia phone here but HMD junk and... moreI CAN differenciate between the real Nokia and HMD, and I've used both, and I have nothing to complain about both, and I have a real idea about their pros and cons.
Every brand is just a name, from Samsung to Xiaomi, BBK to Lenovo, Google to Apple, Nokia to LG, HTC to Huawei etc, you pretend as if companies make phones themselves while you seem to be using a Huaqin-made Galaxy A52s with not a single component designed or made by Samsung themselves, and that has a "Samsung label". Not that I have a reason to defend any brand, but you seem to be the biggest troll in this comment section if you keep being so ignorant and act as if one brand is superior than the other.
And I'm totally aware that no brand pays me (or most people here in GSMArena) for praising and exaggerating their products in comment sections.
You seem to be that type of person to buy any product with a ''Samsung label'' on it and bash any other brand for the sake of expressing your inter-personal fustrations and calling actual users "trolls". There is clearly a difference between defending a brand for their terrible acts and praising a brand's products. 😁

I've been using the X30 since launch and it has been perfectly reliable and unobtrusive for daily use.

It is a midrange device with the build quality and materials of a flagship, it looks and feels very premium and well constructed in person with my preferred combination of aluminium frame and matte plastic back for practicality and ergonomics. It also has Gorilla Glass Victus display, DX+ glass on the camera module, IP67 rating and eSIM support.

I would have preferred a 7 series processor as the 695 exists in limbo by not being meaningfully better than the 480 (which I think is a really underrated chipset). The 695 has the same modem and GPU, the limitation of no 4K video capture, and is not noticeablely faster in daily use.

Battery life on the X30 is better than the capacity might suggest, which is probably a reason for the efficient 695 chipset. I also appreciate that the device supports GPS L1/L5 bands, even if I've not tested this properly.

In terms of camera, the X30 has a flagship sensor but is limited by the ISP and HMD's image processing. The main camera has strengths in night modes, excellent handling of noise, and pleasant bokeh from the large sensor. The main issues for me are the too aggressive HDR, overexposure and sharpening. White balance is pretty accurate but there is a noticeable green tint. This could be as much a characteristic of the ISOCELL sensor from my experience. Oh, and digital zoom is terrible, I would stick to cropping from RAW files or JPEGs captured in Pro Mode.

With a better chipset, some tuning of imaging and perhaps the addition of wireless charging or stereo speakers I think the X30 would be an ideal mid-ranger. As it stands it falls just short despite the great materials and build quality.

In terms of pricing, HMD cannot hope to match the economies of scale of state sponsored Chinese conglomerates, and there are costs factored in for update lifecycle, warranty and customer support, lack of advertising and duplicate system apps, supposedly higher environmental and ethical standards for procurement and labour.

AutoFocus, 23 Nov 2022Yes I haven't used a Nokia phone here but HMD junk and... moreSorry, there are a lot of people complaining about everythin and anything, look for apple on trustpilot and see the magic. That does does not stop them from selling high and also does not stop it's users from using their devices. I do not deny that you had a bad experience with your device, but to troll a brand because of your device and call them junk, pretty much tells us who you are. My brother has exactly that device, his using it for more then 3 years now, and has no big problems besides the power button that is not clicky anymore and sometimes does more clicks if he presses it. In rest, it runs on android 11 and he never did a reset, even tough he should for better experience. He dropps the device literaly everyday and his dougher grew up dropping it like no tomorrow, still works. So yeah, when i have such bad experience like you claim you had, i do what Minu said, and send the device back, not trolling the company on GSMarena for no perticular reason. Well, who knows, maybe you have a money reason, but trolling is this for sure. This is also not the first time i see you commenting on Nokia forums and saying nothing bit rubbish, so your will to troll them is so high is becoming rather hard to believe that you owned that nokia and did not just use some complain forums to troll. As i've said, one can troll every brand, especially chinese ones, there is the internet full of complains about each and every device. So instead of doing the sameas every troll here, be usefull or shut it. Like you, their is the world full.

Anonymous, 23 Nov 2022How it is junk? My Nokia 6 - HMD Global first phone launch... moreNone of those phones owned by you is Nokia but HMD with a "Nokia label". It hilarious to see some people still can't differentiate between HMD and Nokia which are completely two independent company. If you really enjoyed your phones then great what I said here is based on my terrible experiences with HMD 7.2. Just googling about the model issues will explain a lot about the terrible commitment of HMD junk company. The most serious issue occurred was the loss of charging functionality with the much late Android 11 upgrade. In order to recharge one had to restart the phone everytime. The phone also had image retention issue, light sensor issues and so on even with original software that came with phone. These are all well known issues and can seen in the internet a lot number of people suffered by it. HMD never payed attention to fix those persisting issues that made things serious.

I am repeating HMD junk is not Nokia or wise versa.

Who is the real troll here ? Its quite funny to see that you can't differentiate between real Nokia and HMD. If I release a phone with a "Nokia label" I feel assured that you will buy it 😂

I dropped my phone a lot but It is still running fine till date its my primary phone with Android v9 updated from v7.1. Waiting for X30 to replace it after so many years i already saved lot of money will surely buy X30.
For me Nokia is still trusted brand i bought Nokia 2 for my mom and 7 Plus for my wife they all are running fine no complaints yet and recently i bought Nokia T20 tablet for my Mom on her birthday which got Android 12 update. But initially(within 1 year) my Nokia 6 phone display got screen burnin but it got replaced under warranty for free
For me none of the phone disappointed me yet so surely Nokia phone will be my next phone.
